Guest guest
Pat, thanks so much!!! DH and I have been thinking of slowly taking J off of the Zpraxa and seeing him without a med for a bit and seeing how he acts. J has been on a med for so long........Since he was about 12. J was taking 5mg of zpraxa at night and a half of one in the morning. We stopped the morning one about a week ago and he is doing pretty good with out it. The day program said he had a great day today. They do so well with him. I was so worried about him leaving school BUT he has nice people working with him. Guest guest
Lois, I'm so glad J had a great day today, and that he has nice people working with him. It sounds like you have a good husband too. J is blessed. I'm going to pray that the sugar levels come down and that the slow withdrawal will not be too hard on J or you. Love and blessings, Pat K Re: Lois Pat, thanks so much!!! DH and I have been thinking of slowly taking J off of the Zpraxa and seeing him without a med for a bit and seeing how he acts. Guest guest
We lowered J's night pill down to ahalf a tab last night. J did pretty well today. They said he did pretty good at the day program. We see the Dr. on Monday. Lois Re: Lois
Guest guest
I'll be interested in what the doctor says. How is J doing with drinking less soda? Guest guest
I will keep you posted on the Dr. J is "still" drinking soda but watered down. He is doing pretty good with it. I went to the store yesterday and found some pop in the organic ale BUT it is 4.00 for 6 cans! I can't affored that........I got 2 6 packs to see if he will drink it.....he will but I am still watering down the 2 liter bottles too. Guest guest
Lois, I will keep you and J in my prayers. I can imagine it is hard for him not to drink soda. I have also looked at the organic drinks and they are expensive. This may have been said already, but will he drink flavored water? I don't know if it comes in a can or not. He gets a small dose of Atiavin around 3pm and we hadn't gotten back in time to get it. He is on the couch resting now. Guest guest
Oh, I think the Ativan should be very good in helping J get through the withdrawal. You are such a good mother!! I keep praying for you and J every day. I know you are going to get through this and J is going to do well. How could he do otherwise with your help and God's. Guest guest
They went for a walk with Kali and the baby in a stroller. Everything was fine until his 11 year old sister wanted to take the baby out of the stroller and carry him. I can't imagine DIL letting tiny sister carry heavy 20lb. baby. Obviously, Karac didn't think she should take Ayden out of the stroller and he lunged at her and she fell and dropped the baby. Ayden wasn't hurt and neither was little sister. Why wouldn't DIL know that Karac would think that the baby belonged in the stroller? Karac felt bad and everyone was mad at Karac, but everyone got over it; however, DIL said, that she is putting Karac in an institution when he turns 18 next summer before he even goes to the 12 grade and that makes me so sad because Karac is such a sweet kid who never intentionally hurts anyone. Re: Re: Hard morning t Pat, I hope Karac is doing better. What set him off? Lois Re: Hard morning Hi e, When had the flu all he had was a fever and cough, no sneezes. Guest guest
Pat, my heart goes out to you and karac. I wish your DIL would take cues from karac better like you Mentioned. Im sure your DIL was just saying about putting him in an institution when he's 18 because she is fustrated and doesnt know how else to cope with the future. But what she didnt at that particular moment was that she has an awesome MIL that helps so much. Hang in there, hun. They went for a walk with Kali and the baby in a stroller.? Everything was fine until his 11 year old sister wanted to take the baby out of the stroller and carry him.? I can't imagine DIL letting tiny sister carry heavy 20lb. baby.? Obviously, Karac didn't think she should take Ayden out of the stroller and he lunged at her and she fell and dropped the baby.? Ayden wasn't hurt and neither was little sister.
