I was infected thru a blood transfusion in 1980 when I had my son and was diagnosed 25 years later with 25 years worth of damage to my liver in 2004. I started treatment in 2005 for 48 weeks with Peg Interfuron and Ribavirin.... Completed treatment with many issues but have been SVR ever since. I am 51, married to an amazing man who held my hand and my head thru the entire treatment. I have a 30 year old son who is still scared to death every time I sneeze now. This is my second marriage so I have 2 step children, also have another 2 from my previous marriage. My husbands kids are 18 and 20. One is in his 3rd year of college at Augustana and the other is a Senior in HS and she will be attending DePauw University in August.
