Hi everybody

Here is another of don's observations. LMAO

Ready? Its deep.

I call it, 'THE RIPPLE EFFECT'.

Or as Einstein said, 'action causes reaction'.

Eastern folks call it 'KARMA', yin-yang, or other words.

Some call it magic or voodoo.

Its all basically the same idea.

As we are all aware of, but rarely think of, what we do has a ongoing effect on the world around us, and in us personally.

Think of it as the rings in a pond spreading outwards after you throw in a stone.

The same thing happens in the world around us from our actions, words, and thoughts.

If youve studied any history, you know one thing leads to another.

On a purely personal level, each of us have seen the results of our past come back to bite us with a disease called Hepatitis.

The pond was our body, our actions were the thrown stone, the rings were time, and the bite was being diagnosed with HCV, many years later.

The same thing happens outside of ourselves too.

I used a lot of drugs and needles when I was a late teen, and on into my early 20's.

The 'Ripple effect' spread outwards over the years, and then in 2008, I was diagnosed with HCV.

On a personal level, I lost my health.

On a non-personal level, my actions of drug use affected countless others.

- I lost my lady whom I loved very much, because she feared my disease. This broke both of our hearts, Im sure.

- My family grew distant from me for the same reason.

- I cannot find a new love for the same reason....fear.

- As a matter of fact, everyone who hears that I have HCV, backs away, so even friends are hard for me to find.

I used to be an upcomming musician, and maybe would have even been famous by now.

Throughout the 1980's and 90's, I gradually became sicker, and had to stop many of the things I enjoyed doing.

The HCV has weakened my body over the years, and the pleasure I could have brought many others through music fell by the wayside.

How many people lost out from my actions, I will never know.

I was also a house builder for poor people.

With my knowledge of construction I used to build custom dream homes inexpensively for those who otherwise may never had had their own home.

As my body weakened, I had to stop.

I wonder sometimes how many people I could have put into homes in my lifetime, but for the thrown stone....drug use.

I have seen people lose out, including me, from my bad choice of actions.

I have seen people cry from my ill chosen words.

Then theres my negative thoughts.

How much bad energy have I spread over the world, invisably, from anger, jealousy, hate, etc.

How many times have I carried bad energy on my own shoulders?

How many times have I made myself sick, from my own bad thoughts, and the baggage they have created on my back?

You know I was raised up a Christian, and in the Bible I read the thing about God creating us in his own image.

This got me to thinking.

God created a whole universe with just a thought.

What can we creat with our thoughts too?

I know this is a truth because I think to myself, 'hum, a peanut butter sandwich sure sounds good'.

Then I go into the kitchen and make it manifest.

Not only did I foresee the future, but I created something from a thought.

I believe we do these 3 things all the time, but like seeing, we dont give it much concious awareness. [actions, words, thoughts]

I believe that these 3 things affect us personally, and everyone around us, and even beyond them.

I believe this is part of the invisible universe surrounding us all.

I believe that if we can just get a grip on them, we have the power of THINKING to make a big difference, to ourselves personally, and the whole world in general.

Ok, now you know don in ks is nutz. LMAO

But thinking good thoughts can, and will make a difference in your own, and every one elses life.

Imagine the HCV to be a benefit in your own life, rather than a drag.

Tell yourself that you can, and will, one day be free of the Dragon.

Anything is possible.

Be well my friends.

Hello Don, Cinder , Gloria and all others!

Don….I want to tell you that this post today affected me more

than any I have read.  As I said before I am a Mom  and my 23 year old daughter

suffers from Hep c.  She is presently on treatment..etc.  What I wanted to say to

you is that today your post has hit the nail on the head with what I am feeling

about my daughter.  It is so sad that in life we must experience all this pain

and ruin many lives before we realize that it could have all been different.

The human race is just so predictable.  When we are young we know it all, we

are fearless.  Our parents try to help us learn from their mistakes but usually

it never happens.  In life we must suffer the bad to find the good. Hearing

your words gives me hope that someday her eyes will be wide open and she sees

more than her own suffering.  Right now she is young and full of drama and

cannot see the ripple effect of her actions.  She only knows she is in pain.  I

often tell her that I pray she never experiences what we have had to deal with

as parents.  It is God’s cruel joke.  He gives us the power of choice yet we

all too many times choose what we know is wrong. I am always in the background reading

all of your posts, everyone out there.  Some of you stories are painful and

then there is that one flicker of hope that I read in between the  lines.

To all of you I say that you all are in my thoughts and prayers.  Someday

perhaps the cure will come for all and not just a select few.  I pray for my

daughter to be one of those lucky ones.  Time will write the ending of our

stories but for now we can only live chapter by chapter.  Thank you all for

your outpouring of honesty.

Hugs and prayers for each and everyone out there.

Tina
