Selina can not hear these figures about 40% or whatever!! He must go into this absolutely believing that he will be a winner!!! Please, support his decision (with you included) and keep as much negativity as possible away from him. He will beat it - He will beat it.Gloria

Hi Selina

No one can tell to do other than what he feels that he needs to do.

This is his choice, and path.

But you are involved, and if that path is a difficult one, then you should have some say, as you will be his caregiver.

Maybe he should listen to his doctor, and move ahead, but again, its his choice.

One thing to remember is that the percentages for him reaching SVR with the I/R TX, are not that high. [40%]

The newer Treatments are much higher.

He does have the time to wait if he wants to.

This isnt to say that he will be a non-responder.

His Viral Load means little.

It is only the number of copys floating around in his blood at the time of his test, and that changes often.

Little scarring is a good thing.

Im glad his liver is not in worse shape.

We will be here for you both, no matter your choices.

Your not alone.

Hey, we just got our official reports after the biopsy and he is at Stage 2 with some inflammation and a little scarring otherwise pretty good. His viral load is big at 5,582,547. I was worried when I saw that, but, my books I've bought said that you can have a big number with little damage and no symptoms. What do you all think about these numbers. The Doc wants to start treatment in a month instead of waiting for the new meds. However, I lean towards waiting and hubby leans toward going ahead. I think he just wants "something"done! Not sure where to go from here...thanks
