The Telaprevir [VX950] is just finishing the third CT's, and is waiting FDA approval for use. But the Protease Inhibitors at this stage will be in combo with the I/R TX. This will increase the SVR rates for alot of us. There are several other anti-virals also that seem to be working good without the I/R TX. I remember one such post - 'anti-virals stand alone' - or something to that effect. I believe they were even mentioned in articles from HCV Advocate, or the Janis7 websites. I will see if I can find it, and re-post. Here is a link on the Telaprevir and Boceprevir for your review. http://Hepatitis Cne wdrugs.blogspot. com/2010/ 02/telaprevir- or-boceprevir. html <--- click here These are not the only two things in the pipeline, but these will be the first to hit the marketplace. There are many approaches to the HCV issue, [including the vaccine SPC3649], by several different Pharm companys. Its all very exciting to me. love don in ks
