Guest guest
Dear Holly, please consider stopping the Ivermectin immediately - don't know of anyone it's worked for. There are a number of natural parasite remedies available with better track records. One Trisha Springstead of ESP Botanicals recommends is Parasitin that has some great herbals in it & is affordable. Available at: http://www.vaxa.com/693.cfm The benefits to you & Savannah of continuing to nurse leave Ivermectin out of the picture. The stress to you both, emotionally & physically, isn't worth using it. These bugs absolutely Thrive on you & your baby being upset. Please don't give them that inch or they will take a mile! Frito - any ideas on how Holly can flush the dose she's taken out of her system quickly? In the meantime, try using the bottle next to your breast to keep the comfort & closeness and pump your milk so you don't go dry. Even your hatred of the bugs gives them an edge. Focusing that emotion on them strengthens them. They do what they must to survive, like any creature. Your job is to make it impossible for them. But I don't believe the Ivermectin will get you there. Hang in, Holly! Help is on the way. Know you can do it & will vanquish these bugs in ways that won't hurt you but will hurt them. Guest guest
This is what I do know. I do know that it takes 9-12 days to clear your system depending on the source. I do know if it were me, I would not nurse for that period unless directed by somebody more qualified than me. It has been shown to pass into breast milk, although many sources cite no adverse effects, my concern would be the immaturity of the Blood-Brain-Barrier of the nursing infant ingesting the breast milk. The BBB is not quite fully developed in babies and young children. Since Ivermectin goes from the liver to the CNS, this would be a concern. Keep pumping dear, be aware of masititis from clogged milk ducts, and try other avenues in which seem to have better track records than Ivermectin. How can we help? Guest guest
Im sorry im just upset. It was just a tough weekend all around. I read on Rays protocol about Ivermectin. Ive been planning on using it for a while. If there is something that i can use that is just as good, i will take it. I thought about taking sulfer internally. I think i would have to stop nursing regardless. I am using the pump to keep the milk supply up. I just didnt see any other way. I wont nurse until i know im clear. I read that it takes 12 days to clear out of the white blood cells. I wanted to fast track the purging, because my situation here is very unbearable. I planned to take ivermectin for 5 weeks, while running the dehumidifier, and heater in the attic, where most of my belongings are. Its stressful anyways. > > I started the ivermectin today and had to stop nursing the baby. She > is > so upset about it. So am i, i have been crying all day. Guest guest
This whole thing is upsetting. Holly, will you let us do some research into what lactation and infant recommendations are out there? Children and babies are very different from adults and older teens. Their chemical pathways, immune systems, BBB, just so many things that are immature and still developing and they are so incredibly hard not to affect in this type of situation. Guest guest
Sometimes I don't think my heart could break anymore than it has, and then I read something like what you posted and I cry with you. Something has to give....we can't keep on like this with the world just not taking this seriously. Holly, I am so, so sorry. Guest guest
Perhaps a homeopathic remedy wouldn't transfer through milk - there's usually so little of the active ingredient itself. Marijah McCain of Herbal Healer Academy has one: WORMING CHILDREN. ELDERLY & PETS HHA HOMEOPATHIC PARASITE DETOX Safe for ages 1 year and up. I do not like to use any strong herbals, especially wormwood, on children. They respond very well to homeopathic formulations. Ages 1-3 - Use 3 drops under tongue or in a little water twice daily. Ages 4 and above - Use 5 drops twice daily. .2 oz. bottle http://www.herbalhealer.com/parasites.html What do you think, Frito? And would Milk Thistle help clear it from Holly's liver, expedite detoxing it for her health? Holly, completely understand your drive to be so over this. Wait up on the parasite internals, please, while everyone checks into it for you...you've got your hands & your plate full & we're here to help in any way we can. You've friends to help who so admire you. No apology. You're doing great under circumstances that are way beyond unbearable...but you'll bear it & you'll get clear. You are wonderful, Holly! Strong & brave & a devoted mother with a heart full of love! Being strong & brave means you'll feel weak & afraid & fed up sometimes & then put it aside to do what you must. Your fierce love for your children is your guiding star to the life you're already building for them. Hang tight to that. Take a deep breath. Remember a wonderful moment when you were simply happy. Kiss your children. Know you want it in your rearview mirror yesterday! Love you, Sue > > This is what I do know. I do know that it takes 9-12 days to clear your system depending on the source. Guest guest
Henry, I'm 60 and 13 weeks into my second go around with treatment. My doc is at UCSF. I experience the effects of interferon two and three days after my shot. Mostly it's fatigue, moodiness and flu-like stuff. Usually you can tell what sides you'll experience by week 12. The water (a gallon a day) is tough on this old guy's kidneys. On the other hand, there are days I wouldn't get out of the recliner if I didn't have to go. Let me know if I can help. Good luck. Guest guest
Way to go Henry!!! For sure keep us posted regularly about your treatment or any questions regarding it. I'm on my last 5 weeks of a Clinical Trial.I find that at the very least, I'm usually extra tired after my Friday night Interferon. The Riba I don't think a lot about until I have one of my horrible mood swings. Now, I don't enough of this myself; but, remember to drink lots of water. The sides of my mouth dry and crack for the need of a bit of water. Gloria I am over 50 and started with a doctor in San Francisco that approved my treatment..
