Bee, what do you think -- can I safely go > back to eating eggs daily? Hi Kathleen. I understand your concerns when all you've ever heard is that high cholesterol is bad. Actually cholesterol readings are a non-issue when it comes to any future health prediction of heart disease or any other health problem. The cholesterol theory is a total scam put upon us to sell drugs. Also cholesterol increases when the body is detoxifying, which is in medical books so all doctors should know that. They should also know that thyroid problems cause the body to create more cholesterol, and candida causes thyroid problems, so on. The best book on the issue was written by a doctor in Sweden, Uffe Ravskov, called The Cholesterol Myths: http://www.ravnskov.nu/uffe.htm He also founded " The International Network of Cholesterol Skeptics " (THINCS) at www.thincs.org, which is a steadily growing group of scientists, physicians, other academicians and science writers from various countries. Here's a great article, " What causes Heart Disease? " ; http://www.westonaprice.org/moderndiseases/hd.html So yes, please go back to eating as many eggs as you want, and eating lots of butter. They are extremely important for your health. This man ate 25 eggs per day and yet his cholesterol was low: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/eggs1.php Enjoy! Guest guest
My chlosterol numbers are higher too Kathleen .... my total cholesterol is 8.71 which in your system converts to 339 but like you my HDL/LDL ratio and triglyceride numbers are great. My ratio is 2.29 and that is much lower than it was when I was on the statins. My triglyceride is at 0.37 the lowest it has ever been yet. My blood pressure has stabilized as well and I feel good and not worried at all about the cholesterol. I take no blood pressure meds or statins right now. Good for you Kathleen Maddy After following Bee's diet for a year, and seeing progress, I had a cholesterol test. My total cholesterol count was 288. I freaked and stopped eating eggs and butter. After a few days, I calmed down, did some reading, and learned that candida contributes to higher cholesterol by causing inflammation, ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ No virus found in this incoming message. My total cholesterol count was 288. Dear Bee and Maddie, Thank you so much for the words of encouragment. After decades of being brainwashed by all we hear about cholesterol, it is hard to completely put that all behind. I am eating eggs for breakfast right now (with 2 salmon croquettes, on a bed of organic salad greens)and they taste wonderful! For the past few weeks while I have abstained from eggs, I was at a loss on how to get sufficient protein, as I don't eat meat. Well, the high cholesterol count/fear was the issue that put me back in the meat- eating camp. I started off with ground meat from grass-fed beef. Then I progressed to liver. I still can't eat pork or poultry, and I don't know if I ever will, but for now, I'm doing fine adding ground beef and liver to my diet. Since I have been on Bee's diet, my acid reflux, which I had for about 6 years, has completely ended. I no longer need to sleep with the head end of my bed raised. I believe this is due to eliminating carb foods. I have read that those on the South Beach diet also experience an end to acid reflux, due to restricted carbs. As a pescatarian (I ate fish), my diet used to be very high in carbs, as vegetarian diets are, also. This high carb diet contributed to my acid reflux and to the growth of candida. On a moral level, I'm not thrilled about eating meat, but I feel that getting candida under control is most important right now. Thank you, Bee, for your continual support and for giving the links for further reading. Maddie, you have replied to me before, and I always appreciate it.
