Guest guest
I have complained to the UK MHRA which is equivelent to your FDA. I have also complained to the drug company Licence Holder Relonchem Consulting Company CALLISTO - who have never heard of a single side effect except - LIGHT SENSITIVITY!!!! Yes they were very interested in my eyes, none of my other symptoms though. They are having a laugh - I sent them loads of links cut and pasted and told them to do their homework, I also told them as soon as physically possible I will be suing. Went to see my GP today, was with him for nearly an hour telling him about my Statin Poisining, he was genuinely concerned and has asked me to send all the info to him.He does believe me as he has been my GP for nearly 20 years and I think he feels guilty about the harm these tablets have caused me, you know the ones he prescribed three years ago for my hypertension and cholestorol of 150. Anyway everyone I am now taking 300mg of CQ10 every day, and today after nearly two weeks off The Statins I feel a little better and have been out in my garden without any mishaps. Take care and thanks for your replies, and support.
Guest guest
If only the FDA were looking out for us! Offering a report of side effects to medwatch is like throwing it overboard in mid-ocean. For one thing, doctors are supposed to be reporting any side effects that their patients report to them. How many of them do you think bother to do so when the majority are still in denial that there are any side effects associated with statins? At one time I thought Attorney Mark Krum was going to be our white knight in taking on Big Pharma. But it's been two years since he filed his first two lawsuits and as far as I know, he's not taking on any more clients until those are resolved, which will almost certainly take years. While his plans were in the news, I signed up, and a few weeks later I got a call from a paralegal who asked me a handful of questions regarding the side effects I'd experienced. I can't recall our conversation exactly, but it would be a waste of brain cells anyway. It was obvious that he was completely clueless about statins. When I mentioned such problems as muscle weakness and pain, he seemed confused! I'm not surprised I never heard anything more from Mr. Krum's office, and I'll bet no one else who signed up has either. I filled out a complaint form on www.consumeraffairs.com probably a year or so ago, and not long ago I received a letter and a packet of information and forms to fill out from a smallish firm that is planning to sue Pfizer on behalf of patients who have been harmed by Lipitor. I checked them out to the best of my ability and they seem to be thoroughly reputable as well as having a track record of winning lawsuits for individual clients filing against some of the Big Pharmas. In the case of Lipitor they tell me they're planning a class action suit simultaneously with individual suits on behalf of those who've suffered the most grievous damage, which will be decided on a case by case basis. They tell me they expect the time frame not to exceed five years. Sounds much better to me than our chances if we wait for Mark Krum. I've filled out the forms and sent them in, and we'll see what happens. Since it's on a contingency basis, there is no risk to clients, and although the law firm's share of cash awards/settlements will be 40% plus expense, if they prevail, in my opinion they'll deserve every penny of it for their willingness to be the going up against the Pfizer Giant. If anyone is interested in the identity of this law firm, email me privately and I'll be glad to give you their name and contact information. spsgroup1 <spsgroup1@...> wrote: Short of filing some kind of case against the drug companies and thestatin drugs, you can complain on the web on a web site or in groups. You can also notify the FDA, that's the Food and Drug Administration,(not the Friends of Drug companies Administration- ha ha).Medwatch from the FDA- click on Submit Report:http://www.fda.gov/medwatch/index.html----- Fight back spam! Guest guest
An excellent way to report to the world about the side effects of statins is to post on you tube. Tell your story to the world via video. -- In Lipitor , Carlisle <nancarl@...> wrote: > > If only the FDA were looking out for us!
