Citric acid is a preservative, but the amount is usually so small I wouldn't be concerned about it. Of course don't eat a whole jar at once. LOL! I've also read that its best to have your ph alkaline instead of acid but on the other hand a lot recomend lemon water. Isn't lemon citric acid? I like sweet orange joice and grapefruit juice. No one at my clinic has come back and warned me about my pH level - it was at 6 and I don't know what that means. I have heard that Grapefruits are very bad for us; but, I'm not a fan anyway, so never thought about the why of that.Gloria Hay that kinda bothered me too. I have read not to use citris fruit.
