Guest guest
I have always laughed alot. At myself, the situation, life. It does help keep a positive attitude. And I know it makes my illness easier to cope with. Joy

Guest guest
Ray, You are so very right about the laughter. I wouldn't be here today without a conscious effort on my part to seek humor in my life as well as to try to find it in the senseless things that fall into all of our lives. For many years now I have kept a part of each computer that I own for the best of the funny stories which come my way. For some reason the Darwin awards which come out in January each year top my list of humor, but nothing is out of bounds for me unless it's something that hurts another person in some way. If there are those here who haven't tired humor in the wee hours of the night when everyone else is asleep and you can't sleep from whatever reason, give it a try. You may not get back to sleep but you'll definitley feel better while you're up. Another thing is that if you can find email or chat pals on the other side of the world from you who are up while everyone here is asleep, that's been lots of help to me. I have had a number of penpals in Australia since my first support group on the internet. / GA and MI AS and FMS survivor Proverbs tells us that 'a merry heart does good like a medicine.' I don't know if other religions have similar teachings or not, but I would be interested to know if there are others which say this if there are members of other religions who are members here
Guest guest
Thanks for the chuckle. I even shared it with my husband so we both lost a couple of pounds. If laughter is indeed the way to loose weight then everyone around me should be real skinny because they are always laughing at me lol......... the WV hillbilly

Guest guest
Hi all, For those among us who believe laughter is unimportant to our recovery or somehow " off topic " . Check out this site and stop taking ourselves so seriously. http://www.morejoy.org/Site/Videos.html Jim Shine
