Hi Michele

You said...'Since that time I have radically altered my lifestyle'.

What do you mean, and what have you done?

I would be very interested in knowing, and perhaps others in the group would be too.

I am also changing my lifestyle, and would like to compare notes with you, and others.

I believe there are things we can do for ourselves, [besides go to the doctor], right in our own homes.

I am a 1B also, load june 08 - [86,000], I am 58 years old.

My lifestyle changes:

No street drugs or alcohol. Little red meat, no organ meats, little to no iron.

Cutting way back on cigarettes [trying to quit], and prescription drugs [inc OTC].

One each per day:

D-3 [1000 IU]

ALA [600mg] - inc grape seed [30mg] - bioperine [5mg]

Silymarin - milk thistle extract [300mg] - inc dandelion root [100mg] - artichoke [50mg]

Selenium [100mg]

Mens Formula multi vita - no iron

Omega-3 fish oil [1200mg]

Vita C [1000mg]

Super B-Complex - B1,2,3,6,12 - Folic Acid [400mcg] - Biotin - Pantothenic acid

I lack fresh fruits and veg. [eat mostly canned - grocery shopping is difficult]

I lack exercise. [cant walk and CHF is bad]

I am working on these last two.

Hi AngeloMy GP and I just discussed the possibility that my low viral load 'may' mean that I wasnt infected back when I thought I was.He didnt try to feed me anything, as you put it

Sure he tried to feed you the bullshit. He just went on assumption and told you something. He never heard anywhere that viral load has to do with time of infection yet he decided to tell you that to make conversation. That angers the shit out of me and it should you to. No what if he decides to give you more BS that may effect your decision to treat or not. I know he is a GP and I wonder how many hep c cases he sees a year. You need a Gastro or better yet a hepatologist to care for you and monitor your treatment when you go that route.

Do you know I never heard of anyones viral load being that low. Ever. And I'm on every forum that is practically on the internet that has to do with hep c. I heard of viral load being that low on treatment or after treatment (SVR) but not from someone who never treated. This is such great news.

So there, now you've heard of a very low viral load. In two weeks I'll get tested again

and we'll see if it's lower or higher since that number is from April when they first

checked it.

Since that time I have radically altered my lifestyle so we'll see if it did any good or not.

I'm type 1B.

Hi Don,

the things I have done:

bought a digital postal scale that reads pounds and ounces or tenths of a poundand began eating less and weighing myself daily.I've lost ten pounds since April.

I began taking many of the herbs and supplements mentioned on this list.I bought a silver puppy to make my own colloidal silverI bought a distiller to make my own distilled water which I now use exclusively and it tastes so good to me that I'm drinking a lot more water than ever before.I got a juicer from freecycle and we have juice for breakfast every day. We addapple cider vinegar and olive oil to the juice along with garlic and ginger, lecithin, psyllium, and protein powder.I'm eating much more garlic than before and cumin, cayenne, cinnamon, and licorice.I quit alcohol and started getting more exercise mainly walking the dogs.I bought the HCV meditation CD on amazon and listen to at least one session of it dailybeing sure to get enough sleep.I don't allow myself to get stressed over anything including internet arguments.I quit taking Zetia the cholesterol drug the VA had me on. I've begun eating

more fish than previously along with taking fish oil supplement.I'm eating more nuts too.

Thank you

I ask because it gives me ideas on what else I can do for my own wellbeing.

I would like to keep my low viral load, low.

Hopefully my body will last until new better meds come out.

That is my goal.

Hi Don,

Everytime I think of you my thought is you must quit smoking now, immediately,

not cut back and taper off to quit later. You must quit now.

Have a council meeting. To that meeting invite the part of yourself that wants to

do the right thing to heal your body. Invite the part of yourself that has other priorities

and doesn't have the long view. Invite your liver to the council meeting. Invite any

healing symbols and allies to the council meeting.

In council discuss what needs to be done for the long view, the healing plan. See things

from the point of view of your liver. Ask your liver how it feels about every act your body

does and factor that into your actions.

Love your body, it is the home to your spirit. Thank if for all things it does right, take

care of it, trust your higher instincts. Focus on your breathing, make every inhalation

an intake of healing energy and every exhalation a discharge of waste and toxins.

Forgive yourself, forget the past, look at the now.
