Just because something is on the internet doesn't mean anyone has a right to use it

without permission unless that is stated on the website. I'm a photographer and have

a lot of photos on flickr and various other places. I have a google search saved that

whenever someone rips off one of my pictures I'll get an email telling me where it

has been published. You see many authors like to at least get attribution for their work.

For instance my work is licensed under a creative commons license.

People need to look for a copy right on stuff before just copying and pasting it.

Wiikipedia has a good article on creative commons licenses, something everybody

who thinks they can just copy and use anything on the internet should read.

If its on the website and they published it, it is public domain and you do not have to have permission to use squat! and that is one of the things good about the internet.

I have lots of pictures on my web site and if someone wants them

I would be happy that I had someone that liked them enough to help

themselfs. If you don't want to share you should put your name all over

it or lock it in a safe. You can also use water marks too.

You can use the no right click on your web site but it won't stop

every one. I save money and don't need to sell my pictures every

thing I have is paid for including my brand new home on 42 acres.

Good luck on suing someone I guess you need your nickles and dimes.
