You have come to a great place, lots of friends, lots of knowledge, which reminds me.....This organization publishes an information brochure about Stills Disease that may be off help to you, your family and your doctors. You can ask for free copies from: Bob and Carole, at: oldgoat378@... That printed information went a long way toward educating my family members, it is very good. I believe Bob and Carole are out of town for a week or so but they are very good about getting the pamphlets mailed out, I think you would like them. I learned more from this site than any other source about SD. It is a nasty illness but we have many tools to fight it, especially encouragement and help from this group, welcome, Louise
Guest guest
hi Jenn2, Great to see you have the group. I recently was told I had still and can relate to the family in denial. Because it can't be seen everyone wants to believe it doesn't exist. This group has kept me sane in the past few months. Hopefully we all can be a help and support to you. The people here are truly amazing and I don't know what I would have done with out them. I'm mostly a lurker. Take care. Guest guest
> How long have you been diagnosed: in the process, been sick since August of > 2001 Welcome You have found a great place for support. Lots of very caring people here to share and talk with. Even during the good times and bad times. I hope soon you get the dx so that they can start treating you. Also I would like to give you a little advice, just one little thing can help at lot with everything that is happening with you. Educate yourself as much as you can about the AOSD. Knowledge is a very powerfully thing. I have been living with still's for just about 20 years now, but my onset was as a child at the age of 8. I am 28 now. You ever need to talk or have a question I am here for you. Ok got to go for now. Until Next time take Care Laughing is the best medicine " We are all normal, just some of us have more bumps in our lives then others "
Guest guest
Dear , Welcome to the group. I am behind in my email so i just read your letter this evening. It sounds like you are going through a lot and I'm so glad you found this group. I found this group over the summer after being sick a year -- it has been a real godsend. I was concerned (if I understood correctly) that you aren't seeing your new doctor again until April...it sounds like you are in so much pain. Is it possible to see him sooner? I'm surprised he/she would leave you suffering. Perhaps I misunderstood the situation. As you heard from others here, please don't hesitate to write, ask questions, share your opinions, etc. at any time! Welcome, (New Jersey!)
