Hi Robin,

Thanks for your response. My brother is 61. He was just diagnosed about 4

years ago. His progression has been quite fast. He is in a scooter. I think

his progression has been fast because he has numerous other health issues. He

is a type 2 diabetic. He is on dialysis for kidney failure. He has had 2

failed transplants. He has had brain surgery for a blood clot. Now- he also

has SMA. Sometimes I can't believe all that he has endured. If you wrote his

life story in a book, no one would believe it. He is adult onset and I am type

3. My progression began much sooner and has been much slower. He has breathing

problems. So far, I have not. I also enjoy my scooter. It really opens up a

whole new world that began to be quite small. Thanks for all your information.

Take care for now.

Peace to You,

Beth

Every day is different. Some days when I am in more pain or weaker it's a

struggle and I feel more depressed and I worry about tomorrow and what that

will bring. It also seems the weaker I become the more they cut back the

Home Care Services. My worst fear is ending up in a nursing home while I'm

in my 40's!!

I suffer from anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and

poor self-image also.

Who is the oldest person on this List?

Take care

Bye for now

Beth, Thanks for telling me your brother's story. It's amazing what he has

had to go through. He must be a really strong person to have endured all that

and still be going. Maybe he should write a book. I've always wanted to do that,

but I'm not sure what to write about.
