I love scuba diving here in Florida but I do stay away from sinkholes and caves. : ) West palm beach scuba is my favorite place. And you know I think the salt water does wonders for my joints, skin and peace of mind : )))

-- [ ] Hey to anyone in Florida !

One of the best Docs is in Bradenton! Hope you are seeing him :-)

Pam moved to Georgia for awhile and changed from PamInFla to PeachStatePam. When I attended a CDC conference in DC many years ago and found out that people from California to New York and every place inbetween recognized the name PeachStatePam from all the info posts so I decided to keep that handle! LOL SO...... PeachStatePam sounds like Georgia but I am actually back in Tallahassee, FL. I live on Lake which is made up of three sink holes and every 20 years the entire lake disappears and gets sucked down the sink holes leaving gators and even some poor fishies on the land. They have thrown down cars, refrigerators, every thing you can think of to try to *plug it up* This last time it didn't come back the way it used to and now isn't as pretty a lake (nor as well stocked with bass) as it used to be. In the 60's - 80's people came from all over the world to catch bass in Lake . Now you couldn't pay me to bite into a fish from out of that scrawny lake/toxic lake. LOL At least you have a bottom to your sink hole at 100 ft. There has never been a bottom found at the few in Lake nor the ones at Wakulla Springs Park. National Geographic has done quite a few dives down into it and tv shows on it. My first death EEG was on a Sunday School friend who died at Wakulla Springs in 1968. He went down under the 100 ft. deep shelf and no one had scuba gear but his brother and the life guards wouldn't let the brother go down (scuba gear wasn't allowed in the park then). The life guards tried but didn't know how to use the scuba gear. By the time they let the brother go down about 20 minutes had passed. Some stupid doc started CPR when the brought him up (remember TWENTY MINUTES had passed!) so he was very very brain damaged and only being kept alive on machines until his heart finally stopped about 48 hours later. I have a tracing of his heart and brain functions stopping. My dad used to use it at lectures because it is rare to get actual tracings of the heart stopping (patients either die before you get there or don't die while you are running the machine). Sorry - flashback here.

Peace

Pam

PS - When I was in Georgia I lived in Woodstock - outside of Atlanta and went to the support group there.

I'd add a picture but I am not as cute as and mine are already all over the internet anyway!
