Guest guest
Hepatitis C drug garners big attention for small Tampa company Tampa Bay Business Journal - by Ladika TAMPA -- An antidiarrheal drug with surprising success treating hepatitis C patients is helping to put a small drug development company on the medical community's map. Romark Laboratories LC last month unveiled its results treating hepatitis C with its drug Alinia, which had a 79 percent success rate during clinical trials in Egypt. Hepatitis C can remain asymptomatic for decades and can lead to liver cancer. "It's probably the most interesting area of pharmaceutical development found in the United States today," said Marc S. Ayers, Romark's president and CEO. http://www.bizjournals.com/tampabay/stories/2007/12/17/focus3.html
