Guest guest
The internet groups were what saved my life during my treatment time - especially 's list out of England as well as Hep Central. All of you helped me through my suicidal and homicidal times and I will be eternally grateful. That is why I continue on all these groups trying to give back as I can :-) I think though that is generalizing about genotypes 2 and 3. I have many friends that are 1's and 4's that have cleared and stayed cleared for years and 2 nurse friends that are geno 2 and 3 and didn't clear. I think it is in our genetic makeup whether we will clear with the treatment or not. I was tested at week 7 and had gone from 8 million down to undetectable (I am a 1a) so it was definitely killing my virus but in my case it was killing me as well. This was before they recognized that people with the extensive lung histories like I have should not be given treatment. I have even had Legionnaire's disease twice which is quite a rare thing! I had 6 ICU hospitalizations for lung problems prior to my 7th ICU month for the treatment sides. I was not a candidate for treatment. It is wonderful to read how well you are doing Sharon! Do you know what stage your liver is in? That is something else that really makes a difference. Once we have cirrhosis everything becomes more difficult. KEEP RUNNING :-) YOU GO GIRL!
