Guest guest Posted May 18, 2006 Report Share Posted May 18, 2006 sorry to hear that you awoke in pain ..but it sounds like they were on top of it so ,,i feel a lot better thanks ...today i just got two more injections ..the shot in my midback has got my back really stove up ..it wasnt like this the first injections ,i felt nothin afterwards ..almost immediate relief,this time i guess he got really close to the place that affects me most ..the injection probably is pressing on somethin there ..hopefully as it dissipates it will feel really good ..and be benificial .. Guest guest Posted June 21, 2008 Report Share Posted June 21, 2008 Shonda, I started out using Candistroy with good results. I've also used grapefruit seed extract and caprylic acid. I know I used more than these, just can't remember now what they were. I'm currently using Candistroy again. I alternate different antifungals, usually around 10 days or so for each. I've read the yeast can adapt to something if you take it for long periods. Besides Candistroy, I'm currently using garlic oil capsules, cinnamon capsules, grapefruit seed extract capsules, caprylic acid capsules and biotin. I don't adhere strictly to the diet since I eat a ton of artificially sweetened yogurt and have all along. I couldn't have gotten thru it without my yogurt. I just recently started making my own yogurt and now think the store bought stuff runs way short on the probiotics. I also take some vitamin/minerals and other herbs, among them, milk thistle. I started taking this before the candida thing came up, I was having gallbladder pain at the time. That's been gone for a long time now but I still take the milk thistle for my liver. IMO, candida can be beat but it will take time. I didn't develop the problem overnight, it won't go away overnight. The more entrenched it is in the system, the longer it's gonna take the body to process it out. It's just like dieting, one little slip of something forbidden is not gonna put you back to square one as long as it's just one little slip. If I'd never had the asthma inhaler, I feel I'd be candida free now cause I was well on my way to recovery. Even tho I went back to eating whatever for a long time, the horrible symptoms I started out with haven't come back. And the shortness of breath is working itself out also. I'm determined this time to get rid of this thing. I've and am on the caprylic acid, grapefruit seed among other things. Most of my problems for me is that I have been exposed to toxic mold in our home. And that is why I am so sick and have many yeast issues as well. It's been a nighmare for my whole family. Thank you for your information. It's a 2 parter, a bottle of candistroyer and a bottle of probiotics. You work up to 6 tabs of each a day, each bottle has 60 tabs so I usually order them in 3's making about a months worth. I take this for around 10 days or so, then rotate to something else, then back again. I also eat a ton of yogurt every day. The only other dairy I eat is butter. I saw a program on tv about a family whose house was taken over by toxic black mold. The husband had developed many health issues, they ended up just walking away from the house and I guess the only thing that can be done with it is to burn it down. Scary. And through out most of our furniture, couches, beds, etc. I can't even tell you how many times I have cried over this and been so depressed I can't even see straight. We worked so hard for what we have and now we get to leave with hardly any of it. I'm still trying to find if we can even take any of our antiques that I have bought and refinished over the 20 years. But now I'm convinced that the mold is what causes my yeast problems. Mold tanks your immune system among many, many other health issues. I've found that I can't stay on the diet for long periods -- somehow, psychologically, I need more variety. But I'm " good " about it most of the time. Anyway, I may start making my own yogurt. It's tricky for me to find antifungals that are tolerable -- that don't give me intense die-off symptoms. My symptoms are mostly intestinal gas.
