Guest guest
Vicki, you are the first person I've heard describe a stinging sensation. Maybe that is the same as what I feel as a 'cold' sensation? It's a new thing, and only happens when I walk. I'd really like to know if anyone else feels this. Thanks. I wish I could go to pain management or a physiatrist...or anybody, for that matter. I was doing so well when I was going to pain management before. Medicaid won't pay for pain management in LA, though, as it did in GA. I wish I had known that before I moved here. My regular doc here won't prescribe me anything for pain! I do take Lyrica, which helps with neuropathic pain, but does nothing whatsoever for my back pain. Also, I know you hear a lot of horror stories about surgery, but when my husband had surgery for a herniated disc and also a fusion, he had almost five good years with very little pain. (Then he had an accident and re-injured himself) So there's one success story to keep in mind. I've had every test known to man and " THERE's NOTHING WRONG THAT WE SEE " 3 dr's have said this. I was w/ the PT for 5mins (5) he pushes on this spot on my left rear (cheek) and i screamed a little. he has me roll over on my back and says the first thing we must fix is my hip is out of alignment. He manipulated it and the scream that came out of me brought people running. He told the 2 dr.s that were sending me back to work tomorrow that I would not be returning to work for at least 6 weeks. My shoulder is out and my neck is out. My sciatic nerve is being squished by all the muscles tightened up around it. This is causing the stinging when i walk. 3 drs who didn't have the time to check anything it took a PT to see it and fix it. Absolutely unbelievable. I feel like I've been hit by a truck right now I have muscles aching that i didn't know I had. but he said I will and it will take time to get them all to relax and work together. Thanks for listening. Vicki --
