Yes, Cancer Treatment of America, but you do need to have insurance. I

supported a friend with cancer and they flew me down and paid for his flight

as well as mine and paid for me to stay there with him. This included our

room and food. They also have many classes on nutrition, spiritual and really

do a good job explaining what the patient is experiencing, family members and

the care taker.

Any questions please feel free to e-mail me.

Can you tell me more about where you went with your friend? I never heard of

Cancer Treatment of America. Where is it located? Is it alternative? I

went to Mexico and had a wonderful experience, and am now healed! Also, is

the place leaning toward Christian? You said something about spiritual, but

I wasn't sure what you meant by that.

Thanks for answering my questions.

God bless you

I think someone on the brain cancer forum mailto:fightforlifeonelist

may have something or E mail Radwick@... Judy Singer might have

something.

My personal impression, is that if you want chemotherapy and radiation

they'll fly you for free and treat you like a king or queen because they are

finally getting someone to actually pay to take the excess poison off their

inventory

Maybe some insurance company or the government will pay the actual bill, but

they still need a willing patient to agree to let some " angel " pay.

Beware corporations bearing gifts for cancer patients!!

Oasis of Hope has a 15 day protocol and is pretty intense. You get a

sub-clavian catheter in your shoulder and then they give you 24 Grams of

vitamin C a day, plus a chelation mixture. I received high colonics, shark

cartilege enemas, coffee enema, Barley Green, organic vegetarian diet,

teaching on nutrition, juicing, exercise, stress reduction, and other things

that I am not remembering now ( it is 2AM!) But it is a great place and I

highly recommend it!

They send 3 months worth of pills home with you and a kit to send in your

blood for testing. They are very advanced over the United States. I never

would have believed it!

It was a great experience!

I had Non-Hodgkins lymphoma....now I have wellness! Praise the Lord!

Blessings,

Marci....Did you get your answer from on the Cancer Treatment Centers

of America? My sister went there some years back and I remember that they

did pay for her airfare, hotel, food, etc.....Would you like her to get in

touch with you, or do you have the info you need? I have been out of touch

over the last few days because my son got the miracle we have been praying

for....a kidney/pancreas transplant...Praise God! He is doing great....a

whole new life!

Ginny,

How wonderful about your son and his new lease on life! I have truly never

heard of a kidney/pancreas transplant! But I do know that the Lord is good!!

Hallelujah!

Since I have just joined this group I have been taking notes on the

interesting things I am learning, so I went back and never found anything on

Cancer Center of America, so I guess my answer is 'no'. Could you fill me

in, please?

Thank you, and may the Lord bless you and your family abundantly!

Dear Clair,

This is my first day on this site and I am am looking forward to reading

more e-mails concerning the subject of alternative methods of treating cancer

as well as letters pertaining to the subject of cancer itself.

Could you briefly outline the services that might be available from the

Cancer Treatment Center. Needless to say, cancer is expensive and any help

in the area of finances would be appreciated. I am not destitute but the

future as far as finances are concerned, are bleak, to say the least.

Thanking you in advance for any infromation you may supply, I am,

Sincerely yours,

A. MacWhinnie

We didn't know adoption assistance was available to adoptive parents of

kids with Down syndrome either. We had a worker for 6 months then they

changed workers and the new one came to our home for a home visit and

she asked the usual questions then asked us if the checks were coming on

time and my husband and I looked at each other and at the exact same

moment we turned to her and both of us said " What checks " ?This was 12

years ago.

We have an adoption subsidy and Medicaid (secondary insurance) for Heidi and

Corrie, but not Mae. The older two were both born in NY and adopted in NY

so we qualified for a subsidy. Anyone adopted from outside NY can't get NY

subsidy. I don't think LM is eligible for SSI or SSDI (whatever it is) either

because hers was a foreign adoption. We never tried for it.

But I have to put my .02 in about kids who can't/don't stay with their birth

families being well taken care of. We also did Family Care for the state, caring

for disabled children in our home. We got room & board for the kids, the state

doubled that amount for difficulty of care, food stamps, respite $, clothing $

and the kids got their own spending $. Their medical bills were all taken care

of, we got in home nursing for them, their equipment needs were taken care of

and when I tried hard enough, I even found an organization to buy some expensive

software that I wanted for one child. The kids lacked nothing. (except a

permanent family which is sad).

I believe that in many cases, if the birth family was supported financially

in the same way we were supported to take care of their kids, they could have

kept their children at home.

I'm not sure if this will help or not. Go to the website of the State of Texas

Assistance and Referral System (STARS) at www.txstars.net On the site you can

find out if you are eligible for help with medical care, child care, buying

food. You answer a series of questions and the sites tells you what you may be

eligilbe for and provides information on how to contact the agencies that may be

able to help you.

How did u guys make it financially until u got approved for SSDI? I am on

regular long term disability and COBRA for med. Ins. My Rx costs and therapy

co-pays r too frequent for me to afford. It seemms cuz I have Rx coverage that

I'm not eligible for any assistance.

I paid cash for a house in backwoods TN out of my 401(k). I have car note,

utilities and medical. I'm not making it. I was removed fromn food stamps when I

went from short term to long term disability. I'm afraid of losing my car.

Any suggestions??

I was very lucky I had my husband who had a very good paying job and it took me

almost two years to get my disability. Can you borrow from family or you may

have to re-finance your home. We never see it coming but even on disability SS

it's still very hard to make it. Food stamps are issued due to your income if it

hasn't gone up then if I were you I would reapply. Also utility companies will

give you a break if you are living on or below the poverty level. I wish I could

help you more but the outlook is dismal.
