Thanks Bill ( & gt; & gt; Once again here I am, it's 4 something in the morning and I'm awake. I & gt; probably got 3-4 hrs sleep. My pain meds wore off and here I am!! SS & gt; Disability thinks I should be ready to go and start a work day!! I have & gt; been at this for over 5yrs, pain, sleep and other issues. I worked full & gt; time till 4-07. Guest guest
Bill - There is absolutely nothing to be ashamed about for getting a lawyer. There are very few human beings who can understand the legaleese and bureaucratic b.s. that the process intentionally throws up in order to intimidate and discourage people from even investigating whether they qualify for SS disability (the acronym SS is never lost on me and its Nazi association) let alone pursuing it. Those of us who are sleep deprived have even more reason to seek help since we don't, for obvious reasons, think clearly. I long ago gave up apologizing for my limitations or even feeling sorry for myself as it gets me nowhere. I'm sorry your journey has been so frustrating and unproductive yet, it's people like you who are such a great treasure for people like me who are just starting down this path. Your experiences and knowledge are so incredibly helpful; I know I need a lawyer and thanks to you, I now know I should think twice about hiring Binder & Binder or avoid them altogether! It may be small comfort to you, but you are a blessing to me and I am so grateful you, and folks like you, are here. I know there are times when words are empty and meaningless. All I can say is thank you and hang in there. I will be praying that your help and the fact that you care enough to share your troubles, thus warning us of the many pitfalls and hazards out there we need to avoid or be aware of, will be rewarded. Guest guest
Bill, I know you are in pain but you do have recourse. The legal community polices itself. I can't think of the name of the bar association dep't that does that. Will have to ask son. But you should keep records and all papers relating to this situation and then go after binder & binder. With both guns blazing. Feeling sorry for ourselves accomplishes nothing and actually pushes us backwards. But anger, that's a great motivator. Good luck and fight back. Never let the assholes win. You can also file a complaint with the better business bureau. And you can do that on line. Guest guest
I just got off the phone with Binder. I told them they were fired and the reason. Non responsive, no return phone calls and 1st denial because they didn't respond to SS Storm Troopers in time. They said I needed to send a letter explaining whay, I also told them I was reporting them to the state of Iowas Bar and hung up. Oddly enough 5 min latter my phone rings, it's Binder wanting to appologise! For what maybe helping me lose my house and be homeless! I hung up on them. Now looking for a local lawyer that I can go the their office. Up since 4 AM getting to my limit. Bill > > Once again here I am, it's 4 something in the morning and I'm awake. Guest guest
Muscatine county Iowa. I sent in release forms to my Senators yesterday. I need to take in my birth cert and drivers license and FDHS said they will approve me for low or no cost health ins through the University in Iowa City. Maybe I can get my shoulder surg that is torturing me. Along with my spine issues. I was really sure I would be approved this time SS that is, since I have had sooo much documented trouble for over 5 yrs. Boy was I wrong! Gotta go can't sit anymore ( Thanks so much Bill From: <fordf250m4m@...> Subject: Re: Sleep/Disability spinal problems Date: Tuesday, June 3, 2008, 8:55 AM I just ran through a list of responsible state offices here in Louisiana . Your state Attorney General Office seems to be a good place to start according to the research I have been doing about this matter this morning as well as your State Bar association. Generally speaking it never hurts to involve you State, local and congresmen. I am levid about this situation your going through, and the really scary thing about this matter is there are so many people facing this same situation. Have you joined the group named Disinissues ? This group deals with cases of disabilities and SSID matters. offers a number of groups dealing with matters like this. If you have trouble locating this group just let me know and I can help you in this arena also. If I understand you correctly you live in the state of Iowa is this correct? Also what county do you reside in? If you can confirm this for me I would be honored to do some additional research for you to verify the rue's you can follow. n South Louisiana > > > > Once again here I am, it's 4 something in the morning and I'm > awake. Guest guest
I belong to the disinissues group and not only has the group been great they have a truckload of information about the whole process. Bill you would do well to check them out. I thought I posted about them before. Maybe not but check them out. You'll be glad you did and present your situation to the group. They'll tell you exactly what to do. It's a fantastic resource. Re: Sleep/Disability I just ran through a list of responsible state offices here in Louisiana . Guest guest
Go to group disinissues. Great resource for disability insurance problems, especially Social Security. That's where I get all my info. Thought I posted about them before here. They have tons of info and the group is really knowledgeable and helpful. Fantastic resource! P.S. Glad you fired the jerks!
