Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I am going to have an anterior cervical discectomy soon to hopefully fix the numbness in my hands and gait in my walk. I have seen videos of the surgery in which the disc is removed, a cadaver's bone graft is inserted, and a titanium metal plate is screwed in all of which looks very gruesome. However, I am more afraid of the pain and possibly other problems that I might face after the surgery since I have severe apnea and an ascending aortic aneurysm at 4.5 cm which might rupture unannounced. Has anyone in this group undergone a similar disc removal at C4-C5 and a fusion? If so, I would like to hear about your recovery experience and pain management. Thanks. Sincerely yours, Merlin
