Guest guest
Hello all. We've had a busy yr here and I had a surgery and got behind on everything. Barely changed the milk kefir enough to keep it all from going bad. Had forgotten about the water kefir and kombucha in a cabinet...then remembered it and procrastinated looking for fear of what it must look like.... So, it may have been in there for maybe 8 months, give or take a month or..2..LOL. I looked at the kombucha, and it seems to have a healthy scoby on it. Doesn't smell bad, just very sour. No funny growth or anything. And the water kefir, looks like water kefir grains in the jar, and a couple or 3 inches of fluid above the grains, and on top looks and feels just like a kombucha scoby, and it smells like kombucha too!!!! No funny looking growth on that either. They were in the same cabinet on different shelves. Have any of you seen this happen or heard of it before? I've heard of people getting sick from kombucha that had a bad growth so I'm asking you all (pros) before I even touch it. Maybe I should get my son to make a video and then post it. Thanks in advance for any advice!!!
