Guest guest
Folks, I am fermenting vegetables using mason jars -1 qt. I put a leaf of cabbage on top. Still, for the first few days of the fermentation, the water leaks out of the jar. I assume this is due to the formation of gases during fermentation. However, the problem is that when I open the jar, I see that lots of the water bubbled up, and now the water level is half way in the jar. I do not see mold, but knowing that fermentation is anaerobic, the question that I have is are these safe to eat? Thanks folks. .
