Guest guest
Hello All Merry Christmas & Happy Hanukkah. We should of all had our flu shots already. You can take them at the same time as your Xolair injections. It takes 6 weeks or so for the flu shot to be completely effective. SO, please get them now. The county health department will give them to you for free. Flu season is January thru March/April. Remember the flu is a respiratory illness not a stomach bug. Those of us with asthma could end up with pneumonia and even respiratory failure. Please be pro-active. We should have a Pneumonia vaccine every 5 years also. If you have not had the chicken pox, you should have the varicella vaccine also. Ask your physician. Continue to do well with your Xolair, it truly is an amazing prophylactic medication! Guest guest
I guess almost anything is possible with RA and medications for it but I’ve been on Remicade for over 7 years and had a flu shot each year with no side effects. I hope you get back to normal soon. God bless. From: Rheumatoid Arthritis [mailto:Rheumatoid Arthritis ] On Behalf Of Sharon W Sent: Sunday, September 20, 2009 7:22 PM Rheumatoid Arthritis Subject: flu shot This is the first year I have had my flu shot since I started Remicade. For several days after the shot I was tired, achey, generally not feeling good. Could this be from the shot? Sharon No virus found in this incoming message.
