Guest guest
Hi All, I received about 3/4 of a cup of water kefir grains from someone willing to share and I have been making water kefir for about a week and a half. My kefir grains are not multiplying or getting any bigger, yet my water kefir is fermenting beautifully. I checked the pH (36 hours) to make sure it was fermenting and it was 3.5. I would prefere a pH of 3 as that is what I strived for when doing kombucha. What am I doing wrong? One more question I have for is when making sauerkraut, what kind of vinegar are you adding with the salt to the vegetables? Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.
