Guest guest
In response to various posts: I've been involved with this group since a month after Doug started it in 2003. Very few possible side effects have been reported and probably 80% of users have noticed no ill effects. While Doug, and I want everyone to post of possible side effects they may have, no one need be " expecting " any. We have a lot of folks who no longer participate in the group now that Xolair is keeping their asthma under control on a regular basis. This includes a couple of parents of severely allergic asthmatic children who no longer have to live in the bubble! As to snake charmer treatment, I have a couple of possible answers for that, as I've run into it as well. First, there was an inaccurate media report linking Xolair to cancer early on. Second, Xolair is incredible expensive and probably not an option for folks who are on limited insurance plans. Third, a lot of asthma patients who have mild symptoms or who have their asthma controlled well using allergy shots and inhaled steroids simply won't qualify. Fourth, some people are just plain stubborn. I hope all of you are reasonably well headed into ragweed season (augh).
