Great to feel normal

I've been taking the max dose of Xolair with a shot in both arms every

two weeks for two months now.

My IGE was over 300. I've been Allergic to almost everything. But

now I've put away the Albuterol. I'm still taking a whole pile of the

other asthma meds but I'll bet I'll be able to quit them when the Dr

says it ok to start dropping them.

Only side effect is feeling hot (a comfortable but noticeable internal

hot feeling) and I suspect that's because I'm getting a decent dose of

oxygen to my previously cold oxygen starved body tissues.

The only other time I can remember feeling this normal was when taking

Prednisone which I only took in desparation.

And I have energy! Energy to do physical things. I'm losing weight!

With every pound I lose, I get more energy.

I was going to be late getting off to work today so I ran to my

mailbox (it's uphill at that) and when I got to the mailbox I said to

myself " I don't believe I just did that " since running has been out of

the question for years.

So I'm reporting here that it's great to feel normal. I thank my

Doctor who has been willing to be agressive in treating my asthma and

I thank the makers of Xolair and their scientist and their investors

for all their hard work and risk in bringing this medicine to market

and I thank my insurance company for agreeing to support the financial

burden of this medication. Finally, I thank God for allowing me to

enjoy the simple things in life, like taking a deep breath.
