Guest guest
I would like to let you know how it turned out with the ground cherries. I got two recipes, one each from here and another discussion board. The second one I got was for gazpacho. It called for __green__ peppercorns, which I didn't have. I had the cilantro and the basil though. With that, I thought, it would hardly taste like ground cherries, but I went ahead and made it. This was waaay before Thanksgiving yet when turkey day came it was still good! As of December it still is. It's slightly sour and very 'green' smelling and goes nice with turkey either alone or with cranberry sauce. The turkey we had was low quality though. The latest thing everyone has talked about is eggnog and it gave me this idea. Wouldn't it be neat to make eggnog with cranberry wine?
