Guest guest
I've been reading every digest, just haven't had time to post in quite a while! In 2004 I researched and found EM when I was trying to find an economical alternative for the Primal Defense product. So I searched " soil based organisms " and EM is one thing I found, the search also led me to kefir (which I bought occasionally) and Kombucha (which I'd read about years ago). When I started drinking EM last year, I'd already been making and drinking Kombucha and Kefir for quite some time, so I didn't notice any spectacular differences. I think I feel better when I drink it and if I miss it for a couple of days I think, " that must be what's wrong. " Basically you can purchase the mother culture, dilute it and use it as is or " extend " it by fermentation - not too difficult to do. It is a pro-biotic and antioxidant. I have heard of some people starting out taking too much and having cleansing reactions, I've also heard the same thing about people who took too much kefir or kombucha or Primal Defense at first. I'd start slowly and gradually increase intake. (I was the one who asked about a strange reaction I had to Kombucha tea with my mercury fillings and metallic taste in my mouth when I first joined this group.) I use it (instead of whey) to lacto ferment some foods, juice - especially organic concord grape - YUM!, or just put a splash (1-2 Tbs.) in a glass of water and add a little sweetener (like you would make an ACV/honey tonic), as well as deodorizing, cleaning, composting, etc. http://www.scdworld.com/ where I purchased the culture and literature from - some info, instructions, testimonials, etc. http://emtechnologynetwork.org/ data base for lots of info http://www.eminfo.info/moreem1.html#How Vinny is a bit wacky, but is the American expert on EM (I have his book, as well as Dr. Higa's books) http://www.rejoiceinlife.com/recipes/probiotics.php food/drink uses (I personally use about 5-10% EM in fruit juice, set on counter for a couple of days, swish and burp once in a while, when fizzy and tastes good, store in refrigerator, drink - I usually dilute, and enjoy!) http://www.dirtworks.net/EM-1information.html very basic and short overview http://www.subtleenergies.com/ormus/tw/em-info.htm basic overview and lists lots of uses Check out the EM health, EM Ag, and EM Farm-Industry Hope this is helpful, Debbie in TX
Guest guest
EM rules! I must say though that it did make me sick after I ramped up my daily dose. Maybe this was the " cleansing " reaction you spoke of. I thought it was an allergic reaction.
