Guest guest
Dear , No, I don't mind anyone asking what Rx drugs I'm on because I take whatever I have to take to 'keep going', and there is no such thing as " addiction " to even morphine, if that's what it takes to keep you functioning. You cannot become 'addicted' to any kind of drugs, unless you have had some kind of 'drug addiction problem, to like street drugs, in the past'! A FACT!!! My drugs are managed by my internist and my neurologist / long-term pain management doctor. I take: Vicodine - 22.5 per day (for pain) Paxil - 40 MG per day (for depression) Klonopin - 2 MG per day (for anxiety & seizure avoidance) Ambien - 10 to 20 MG per day (for sleep) Synthroid - .1 per day (for hypothyroidism) Climara Patches - .1 per day (for menopause -- started at age 30) I also take about 12 different 'natural supplements' in huge doses each day, which I started after 3 years of antioxidant IV therapy nearly every day & slowly graduated down to 2-3 time per week before I could tolerate the amount of oral antioxidants I needed to take to maintain my health. I was also having to take much heavier dosages of my Rx Meds until I could tolerate enough of the supplements, and was able to dispense with taking a couple of them. You must remember, or know, that you will never heal well if you are in pain, and after what most of us have been through, I do not get any kind of " high " from any medication, and if you don't then your body needs that medication to function. If my pain ever gets so bad that my neurologist suggests putting in a morphine pump, I will not think twice about taking his advice! Too many doctors, in many specialties, simply don't understand this concept. Hope this is helpful to many, MM/ NSIF Martha Murdock, Director National Silicone Implant Foundation Dallas, Texas Headquarters -----Original Message----- From: <carina063@...> egroups < egroups> Date: Friday, January 05, 2001 12:23 AM Subject: Martha >If you don't mind my asking what kind of pain meds are you taking? Guest guest
If you don't mind my asking what kind of pain meds are you taking? Do you think that they affect your recovery? If so how? My reason for asking is not because I am taking pain meds (I got off the vicodin about 10 days or so ago) but because I have been on an anti anxiety drug called clonazepam for about a year now. It helps me sleep at night and I cannot seem to get off it. I want to be " all natural " but I just cannot sleep well without these darn things. I toss and turn and for a single mom with a career to get to everyday I just have to sleep. I have tried weaning off, on weekends it works, but come the weekdays bam....it hits me again and I take one....so really I am wondering how much this little sleep pill is hurting in the way of my healing! Thanks Martha for your posts..Godbless and hope your up and about soon
Guest guest
Hi Martha... Ok here is the post I wrote. About Patties Court date in Nevada.. Martha, or Patty or Anyone How will this throw a kink in the Dow Settlement? If this is going against McGahn for faulty implants? Does Dow make them then sale them to the other manufactures? I guess I just thought Dow made the Silicone, and then the other Companies make the implants from the chemicals. Annnnnnnnnd I was assuming that this was a seperate Class Action Suit? But you know what they say about people who ASSUME. *S* It hit me hard when you mentioned that it could throw a kink. I am in the worst financial mess, and was so hoping for this Settlement to be done by the end of this year. I to am on Social Security Disability as my only source of income. And have Major Medical Expences. I HATE BIG CORPORATIONS! THIS IS SO UNJUST! God Bless Debe > Hi Debe, > > Would you please just send me a copy of the post you're referencing, please. > I seem to have forgotten all my 'sign in' information, and it takes me too > long to go through all that 'stuff'! I'm interested in reading them. Thank you, Jackie, PS, how are you doing? How are you and your kids doing with the major adjustment recently to all of your lives? I hope you're all doing well. ----- Original Message ----- From: MARTHA Sent: Friday, May 04, 2001 7:06 PM Subject: Re: Re: Help..need ladies sickend by salines Hi , We will be happy to send you a complimentary copy of the book, "Betrayed", written by Gloria Bywalec, RN & her sister, about Gloria's 'experience' with saline implants. Gloria's sister, Marie, is also an RN. If you would like to have a copy of this book, please confidentially send us your mailing address. There are also more stories & research on the "Canadian Connection" website, than your father may be able to read in the next 12-months. Pierre Blais, PhD, has startleing research done mostly on saline implants -- much of his work is on the Canadian Connection website, with some very gruesome pictures to show what he's talking about. Does your father know that saline implants have the same pourus silicone shells as silicone implants? Does he know these pourus shells allow fluids to move in & out of the implants. Does he know the shelf life of medical grade saline is 77 degrees farenheit, for no more than 2-years? What does he suppose happens to these saline implants when placed into the body at 98.6 degrees farenheit? I hope he's also 'up' on physical biology & chemistry!
