Most companies will not cover a person with pre-existing conditions. If you have lost your coverage due to a job change, the law now says that if your new employer provides coverage, pre existing condieions are waved. I believe that Xolair's makers, Norvatis and Genetech have a program for people who do not have insurance. Can the member who posted this several months ago please give us more info? Guest guest
Genentech has a program called SPOC to help people offset the high costs of prescriptions if their insurance company doesn't cover the medication or provides assistance if a person does not have insurance. They will also help you with the appeals process if your insurance company denies the claim. Good luck! https://www.spoconline.com/spoconline/xolair/patient/welcome.jsp uca79iii <uca79iii@...> wrote: > > I need help to find some type of insurance to cover xolair for me > Weleomc to our Group. Guest guest
Two quick suggestions 1. The nurse or accountant at her doctor's office should have some ideas for help. Mine came after the doctor had sent in the prescription to the pharmacy. The pharmacy called me and then put me in touch with someone who could advise me on some help. This was before Medicare agreed to pick up the additional cost as my insurance would only pay 1/2. However, my insurance now pays 80 and Medicare pays 20. 2. SPOC was the organization (?) who called me. One number is 1-800-240-1224. Another number that I found on the xolair information brochure is:1-800-704-6610 or www.spoconline.com. Hope she can get some help from somewhere. Adah uca79iii <uca79iii@...> wrote: > > I need help to find some type of insurance to cover xolair for me > Weleomc to our Group.
