Guest guest
I wonder if our MN concoctions are in effect creating these ACE Pigments mentioned here...? Any thoughts? Wonderful website by the way. --Terry ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ http://www.stealthvirus.com/energy.htm# Principles and Opportunities in Energy Based Medicine The natural force within each of us is the greatest healer of all . " Hippocrates. In spite of considerable success with a purely pharmaceutical approach to chronic illnesses, many conventionally treated patients do not fully regain optimal health. Increasingly, medical practitioners are looking beyond the biochemical abnormalities that characterize various illnesses. Something else appears to be missing in many patients seeking medical health. Psychiatry ascribes a role to impaired mental health but this simply begs the question as to why the brain is not performing well. Early Egyptian, Greek and even modern oriental medicine view diseases as resulting from an imbalance of an " energy force " that resides within each of us. The nature of this presumed bio-energy has eluded physicists and has remained largely in the realm of irrational conjecture by individuals dismissive of scientific methodology. Energy based medicine is evolving as a scientific discipline that can potentially substantiate many of the fundamental precepts relating to how the body manages to regulate its biochemical activities. This paper reviews the principles of energy based medicines and suggests some of the many clinical opportunities in which biophysics may have enormous therapeutic value. Introduction The human body functions in conformity with basic biochemical and biophysical principles. It has been suggested that individual cells may undergo in the order of 10 5 chemical reactions every second. The overall symmetry that exists among paired organs and limbs would seemingly be difficult to maintain based solely of biochemical feedback regulation. It has been suggested that various energy fields must exist to maintain an overall harmonization of the body's biochemical processes. Electrical activity of the brain and/or heart could conceivably provide a master coordinating influence. Yet harmonization is also seen among simple plants and lower animal forms lacking either a nervous or a circulatory system. Photons in the infrared range of energy are either released or absorbed from the environment by living creatures depending upon the temperature differential with their surroundings. Again it is difficult to envision this type of system acting as a master switch for all living creatures. Photons at other energy levels, including those in the range of visible light are released from living cells but in relatively small quantities. Rather than conventional electromagnetic radiation, some investigators have suggested a unique form of life associated energy. It has been designated qi (chee) by Oriental physicians. The energy is thought to flow throughout the body in set patterns defined as meridians and concentrated in acupuncture points and in larger regions called chakras. Another unique form of energy is postulated to exist throughout all space from the minute sub-atomic spaces separating electrons from the nucleus of atoms, to the far outer reaches of the universe separating the various galaxies. This hypothetical milieu of energy has been referred to as the ether, subtle energy and zero point energy. It has been likened to a sea of very, very minute string like entities possibly oscillating as vortices. Others have suggested variably sized spherical particles somewhat analogous to the molecules of a liquid but much smaller. The liquid model presumes there is a flow of this energy and that the flow can be influenced by various objects and especially by living cells. The interaction of this energy with living cells may be relevant to the capacity of sustaining and coordinating (harmonizing) biochemical reactions between subsets of different cells. Alternative Cellular Energy Pigments (ACE-Pigments). A major source of cellular energy is from the oxidation of various nutrients. Energy is essentially extracted from sunlight in a process called photosynthesis that is mediated by certain bacteria and by plants. Photosynthesis is achieved by light absorbing chlorophyll. Energy from the blue and red regions of visible light is captured by electrons within the chlorophyll molecule. The activated electrons are more readily passed to other molecules in a chain of electron transfer reactions. This process eventually leads to the reduction (electron addition) of carbon dioxide to form carbohydrates with the release of oxygen from water. The carbohydrates are subsequently oxidized to provide energy for the addition of a third phosphate bound to adenosine triphosphate (ATP). The mitochondria are the major cell organelle in volved in oxidative phosphorylation. Viruses can drain cells of their energy supply and can lead to a physical disruption of mitochondria. A repair process associated with the formation of pigmented materials was readily observed in viral cultures from patients with certain non-inflammatory illnesses. The viruses are termed stealth-adapted and are seemingly not being recognized by the immune system because they lack the relatively few viral components targeted by the body's cellular immune response. Complex intracellular inclusions are also seen within cells of infected individuals and in the repairing cells seen in viral cultures. The culture-derived materials are commonly electrostatic and auto-fluorescent. They are occasionally ferromagnetic. More importantly, they can act as both electron donors and electron acceptors and these properties can be directly influenced by externally applied electromagnetic, magnetic and sound energy fields. Chemical analysis of ACE-pigments showed that they contain various minerals. Of particular interest the mineral compositions of individual particles varies considerably even between particles obtained from the same culture. The data are suggestive of some form of selective mineral affinity force acting in the formation of aggregates of these pigmented particles. ACE-pigments can be isolated from dried perspiration of stealth virus infected patients and can be seen as small particles attached to hair. Both in cultures and when derived from patients, ACE-pigments can take the form of solid particles, long threads and broad ribbons. Disrupted ACE-pigments can assist in the repair of stealth virus infected cultures. Excessive physical stimulation of stealth virus infected cultures using light, magnetic and/or sound energy can, however, cause irreversible cell damage. Natural Products with ACE-Pigment-like Activities The identification of ACE-pigments suggested the possibility that biologists had overlooked a fundamental process whereby cells could derive energy. Logically, one could ask that if chlorophyll was Nature's only way of deriving a net increase in biological energy, then where did the energy come from to originally make chlorophyll. Similarly, Nature seems to be limiting its options if it only gathers energy from the small slivers of electromagnetic energies represented in the blue and red regions of visible light. Surely, there must be other means of converting physical to biological energies. Farmers have traditionally been using various organic products to enhance the growth and productivity of crops. One group of compounds comprise humates were generally thought of as decomposing ancient plant-derived materials as it was slowly being transformed into coal and oil. This view has recently been challenged with the evolving concept that humates are actually re-synthesized materials composed largely of aromatic groups cross-linked (coordinated) by various minerals. Worms are particularly good at forming humates. Humic acid and fulvic acids are derivatives of humates with differing solubility in acidic pH. Humates share various properties with ACE-pigments and can be electrostatic, auto-fluorescent, variously magnetic and can both donate and accept electron transfers. They can also suppress the cell damaging ef fects in stealth virus infected cultures. The mineral components in humates are thought to facilitate the partitioning of electron rich from electron poor regions within the molecules. The charge separation explains electrostatic activity. As with several other parameters, electrostatic property can fluctuate over time suggesting that electron flow is a dynamic process. Direct observations on humate clusters floating on water can also reveal varying degrees of subtle oscillations. Such movements have been attributed to the back and forth flow of energy components referred to as phonons. In a separate line of research, others have reported that individual and minute clusters of only a few interacting mineral molecules may display unique energy-based properties that are not seen with regular collections of mineral elements. Conjectures about monatomic elements and micro-clustered elements include the suggestion of unusually high spin nuclei, rearranged electrons, (forming so called orbitally rearranged monatomic elements, ORME or ORMUS), and bosonic electrons (two or more electrons that essentially blend within each other to act as a single entity). A feature of some of these theories is the potential for transmutation of one mineral to another with the focus on the alchemist dream of the formation of gold from less precious minerals. The oceans and inland seas and lakes can also provide a rich source of mineral based products. Run offs from the land into the Great Salt lake in Utah can be seen from the air. Collections have been made from these regions and most of the sodium chloride removed by simple precipitation. The residual mineral-rich material has been consumed by many local residents as a health tonic and has more widely marketed as a dietary supplement. It has also found use as an agricultural product seemingly able to replace deficient minerals in soils. It has also been suggested that even our regular water supplies may contain small quantities of entrapped energy-rich materials, possibly related to ORMUS, w hich can be released by vigorous vortexing in the presence of a levitating magnetic field. Other products used by organic farmers include volatile extracts obtained from the saps of various trees. Large numbers of Japanese farmers use a distilled mixed extract from cypress, pine and cedar trees and plantain This product, marketed as HB-101, has only minimal content of very few minerals but nevertheless has potent plant growth enhancing activities. Other tree sap derived products said to have energetic properties are frankincense, myrrh, tea tree oils and many others. The movement of sap within plants is consistent with a role as a carrier of physical energies in addition to its accepted role in transporting water and nutrients. Biological Activities of ACE-pigment-like Natural Products Undoubtedly the most convincing evidence for biological activity of these natural products comes from observations made with plants. Even relatively small applications can greatly enhance both the quantity and the quality of various types of plants, including commercial crops. Apparent changes in plant vitality can be seen within hours of application. Strips of pastures that have been sprayed with product are not only greener than control intervening strips but are said to be decidedly preferred by grazing animals. Animals fed these products as food additives will typically appear healthier than control animals and have less odorous feces. Quantitative studies on lean body weight and number of prescriptions of antibiotics and/or steroids in response to ill health, have confirmed a beneficial effect of these produ cts. Testimonial data on human consumption also support a health and vitality benefit. A major question to be answered is the mechanism of this growth enhancing activity. It is unlikely that the products are providing consumable calories. They could, however, be enhancing the conversion of regular nutrients into cellular energy. This appears to be unlikely, however, since the benefits being seen are not matched by simply increasing food intake. Another suggestion is that the products are providing a source of electrons in help maintain a negative redox (reduction-oxidation) potential. This property may explain some of the benefits attributed to the consumption of " hydrogen rich " reducing water but water by itself is far less potent than the mineral-based or plant- derived products. A novel explanation for how these products are working is the emission of a physical energy that can be consumed by liv ing cells and utilized by the cells to provide better harmonization of cellular reactions. It is proposed that in the presence of an energy field, cells can better coordinate their overall activities towards a more unified function. Methods are being devised to test this hypothesis. Augmentation with Externally Applied Physical Energies Even though the issue of emission of a biologically active energy remains speculative, there is less uncertainty that ACE products can respond to externally applied physical forces. Throughout the years various proponents have laid claims to health beneficial effects of external sources of energy. These include the simple concept of sunlight, music (as pioneered by Dr. Alfred Tomatis and which includes traditional chanting), multi-wave oscillators (as promoted by s Lakhovsky and also practiced by Edgar Cayce), frequency controlled light emitting tubes (as promoted by Royal Rife), magnetism (as originally promoted by Franz Anton Mesmer), hand delivered therapies including Rieki and Chinese healing, and more recently introduced devices such as low level lasers, computer generated scalar waves, Scenar (Self-Controlled Energo Neuro Adaptive Regulation) devices and others. Various hypotheses have been put forward to explain the apparent beneficial effects observed using physical energies. Some of the explanations link the therapeutic energies with the body's nervous system, while others focus on the possibility of augmenting immunological reactivity. The discovery of ACE products suggests a more fundamental mode of action that should be applicable to all life forms. Ongoing studies are, therefore, examining the influence of various physical energy modalities and devices on the energetic behaviors, including pattern formations, by ACE products. It is hoped that a definable assay system will be developed to help quantify and to better characterize the types of energ ies presumably being absorbed and emitted by ACE products. Need for Clinical Trials A major imperative for studying ACE products is the potential adjunctive benefit as therapies for chronic illnesses. A strong analogy can be drawn with the desire of organic farmers to reduce dependency on herbicides and insecticides. The arguments go that by strengthening the crops they can better compete with weeds and furthermore insects tend to avoid healthy crops in favor of those with impaired vitality. Certainly for infectious diseases, this analogy would suggest an alternative to dependence on antibiotics and anti-viral agents. More within the sphere of alternative medical practitioners, one repeatedly hears of the apparent cures of hepatitis C patients, HIV infected AIDS patients and so called chronic Lyme disease patients, who have chosen to pursue a more organic life st yle. Even occasional cancer patients have apparently seen tumors recede from simple life style changes. An innate capacity for self healing of cancers is clearly seen in the maturation process that affects at least a proportion of cells in many types of cancers. It would be clinically highly relevant if this type of self healing were to depend on an internal energy source that was being weakened by conventional chemotherapy. The conservative nature of medical practice as well as likely criticisms by colleagues and pharmaceutical industry sponsored members of State medical boards, etc, have acted as deterrents for many mainstream physicians to become involved in non-standard medicine. Yet physicians get sick as do their family members and an argument can be made for a collective effort to help unravel what is achievable using energy-based therapies. Unlike clinical trials that introduce new chemical compounds of uncertain toxicities, many of the energy based protocols are sim ply extensions of age old practices using naturally occurring compounds. There is less of a concern with toxicity than with obtaining data on possible efficacy. Suggested Clinical Trials One of society's greatest obligations is the health of its children. The appalling situation has arisen where essentially a quarter of currently children born into the United States are likely to experience a serious childhood disorder. Autism rates have soared with something in the order of 1:160 boys will be labeled as autistic. Special educational school programs are now needed for nearly one tenth of all school children. Childhood violence and other behavioral problems are resulting in increasing numbers of children being placed in residential care facilities. Financial and other considerations are leading to widespread legal applications for State adoption of children. (The United States Government Accounting Office noted 12,600 such application in the year 2001 in nineteen states for which figures wer e available. Figures were not available for the five largest states being New York , California , Florida , Texas or Pennsylvania .) Standard pharmaceutical interventions with drugs like Adderall, Ritalin, Zoloft and others have had at best only marginal benefits. Surely it is time for a fresh quantitative approach in children. Similarly, the elderly are increasingly experiencing both mental and physical breakdowns. Even the adult population is becoming more and more afflicted with poorly defined disease entities such as chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia and depression, as well as more accepted aliments such as diabetes, arthritis, cancer, etc. The enormous consumption of pharmaceuticals is clearly outpacing the use of potential energy based therapeutic products within tho se who could potentially benefit the most for an added cellular energy source. Physicians and dietitians can help address this problem by advising patients to simply test some of the suggested mineral-based or other products shown to have a potential for providing cellular energy. Parents need to be similarly advised with regards to the care of their children. Physicians can also encourage their patients to participate in more formal clinical trials. Centers of Energy Based Medicine need to become established throughout the country to conduct needed research. The hugely expanded market for products along with competitive pricing for non-patented products should maintain costs well below the eventual savings from improved health. The time to act is now. Summary If properly approached with an emphasis on controlled clinical studies and an open mind regarding the nature of the presumed bio-energy fields that regulate cellular function, energy-based medicine could become a powerful adjunct to the existing pharmaceutical approach to modern medicine. The discovery of ACE-pigments within diseased human tissues and their production in stealth viral cultures have provided fresh insights into cellular energy pathways. Certain natural products have ACE-like activities when used to promote the growth and health of plants. Some of these products have been tried in humans with encouraging results. More extensive studies on these products are warranted.
