Leigh,

I suspect many people have taken the shot while experiencing asthma flares.

It seems a lot of people who post here are/were pred dependent with persistant

asthma so I suspect you can still take the shot even though you aren't feeling

well. You should def. tell your doc though.

Good advice on the humidifier. I'm not allergic to mold but it's never a good

thing to have mold growing in your house.

hi leigh,

i've gotten my xolair during a flare. my dr allows me to get the shot as long

as i do not have a fever. =o) lets just say i've never had a fever show up on

their handy thermometer! hehehehe

During my first round of xolair, I was in the hospital with an

asthma attack and my dr had the office RN come to my hospital room

and give me the shots. Later during that stay the infections

destroyed my lung and I almost died. Everyone forgot about the

xolair for the next 2 years.

If your asthma bothers you most of the time then you are probably a perfect

candidate. Xolair is specifically intended for people with persistent moderate

to severe asthma.
