Guest guest
my pulmonologist said I have a sinus infectiion with a fever today. I have to be on an antibiotic for 2 weeks. He told me I could probably take the injection on Monday. Do you take it if you are wheezing, on an antibiotic with a sinus infection? That is not what you guys are telling me. *Moderators note: As we try to stress, these are only our experiences. Talk to your doctor before making any changes to your own healthcare. Guest guest
Hi Leigh! Congratulations on your approval and getting the go-ahead from your doctor to begin Xolair treatment. I myself have gotten Xolair under EXACTLY those conditions. For the longest time, I was almost constantly wheezing, so that wasn't a very big factor for me when my doctor determinded whether or not I could get Xolair. I have also gotten Xolair at least five times during sinus infections and even a couple of times while recovering from pneumonia or bronchitis. All times I was on levaquin, a very strong antibiotic. Now, since everyone is different, and everyone's doctor is different, no one can tell you what is right for YOU except your doctor. Since your doctor has given you the green light to receive your injections, I say jump at the chance and go for it. However, if you still have any reservations on the injection day, go over any questions with your doctor and see what he says then. Good luck, I hope you have the same success as so many of us have had!! ~ -------Original Message------- From: Leigh McCall-Alton Date: 11/21/06 21:46:09 Subject: [ ] xolair injection and infection my pulmonologist said I have a sinus infectiion with a fever today. Guest guest
For what it's worth, my doctor will let me get the Xolair shot if I have an infection.
