Guest guest Posted March 22, 2006 Report Share Posted March 22, 2006 Hello everyone! I take 1 vial, once a month dosing for Xolair. I keep forgetting what my IGE is, but know that is is around 60. I've only just had my second shot, so have not noticed any difference yet. Unfortuneately I've had another flare with my asthma and have been on 50 mg pred for 2 weeks at this point (at least I haven't had to go up to 75 this time!). I'm hoping to start the slow taper tomorrow. I was off pred for about 1 month (after being on it for 3 months), and thinking life was getting groovy again! Hopefully by next winter the Xolair will kick in and I can be pred free!!!! On another note, I got to meet CARRIE last week in Montreal!!! It was absolutely wonderful! I thank this site and for helping me in my decision to start the Xolair approval process! I should have taken 's vacation advice and gone to the local hospital in Montreal (she seem's to think this is the thing to do when your asthma flare's on vacation!!!....get to visit new hospitals and see how they do things!)...but I just stayed in my room attached to my Ventolin...knowing we were going to be back in Kingston the next day!!!
