Guest guest
Steve Xolair binds the allergen receptor in the body. It takes a while, about 6 months, until most of the IgE is bound. Your allergy and asthma symptoms continue because of the exposure and the amount of IgE in your body. We all have symptoms from our illness, Xolair does not cause them, we had them before the Xolair. During clinical trials drug companies have to report everything everyone says. We all have upper respiratory tract infections etc... due to our illness. They even have broken bones listed! Don't sweat, it gets better! Pat --------------------------------- Bring photos to life! New PhotoMail makes sharing a breeze.
Guest guest
I would suggest that you examin if you have been exposed to a lot of sick folks over the last month and that you may have caught one or more viruses that are going around. Albuterol by nebulizer decreases constriction of the lungs and often increases coughing because it makes more room for the mucus to move and start the reflexes to expel it. Several of us have posted that we experienced extreme fatigue in the first few months of taking Xolair as we tapered off prednisone. Extreme fatigue can be a side effect of coming off pred. The sore throat you are experiencing could be from inhaled meds or could be from the drainage caused by your congestion. Talk to your doctor about the problems you are experiencing. It's likely that you are experiencing these things as a result of one or more other issues. Good luck, and let us know how things go and what you decide.
