Guest guest
I've been on xolair for a little over a year, and at my semi-annual check up I finally got a med reduction.....YAY!!! I'm supposed to try my Qvar 80 only one puff morning and night for two weeks and if all goes well then stop it all together, Clarinex only as needed instead of every morning (I'm sure it will be a different story in the spring, but I'll take what I can get), and Astelin only as needed (spring will be every day too i'm sure). So that leaves me on zyrtec at night, advair 500/50 twice a day, nasacort aq two puffs each nostril twice a day, singular at night, and albuteral/duraneb as needed (which is hardly ever anymore). If the reduction in meds goes well they may try allergy shots one more time (round 5...lol) although the doctor agreed with me that it's highly unlikely i'll be able to continue allergy shots, i always have severe reactions starting with the first dose. who knows, maybe the xolair will work miracles and allow me to get them. If not, she may try reducing me to the 250 dose of the advair and see how that works. I'm sorry for rambling on I'm just soooooo happy!!!!
