Guest guest
I just heard from the Doc's office today. My Xolair dose seems to last only 2 weeks so my Doc's office called Genentech and they are suggesting I try 150mg as usual but after 2 weeks I'm going to get a 75mg booster. I still have to get it approved by my insurance company but since the recommendation came from Genentech I can't see it being a problem. If any of you are experiencing the same problem you may want to talk to your doctor to see if the dose can be adjusted. I imagine it will be a few months before I really know but I'll be sure to share the results with everyone once I know.
Guest guest
Xolair has a half life of about 21 days. I am so glad your Physician called Genentech to ask about it. There is no problem with you receiving a 1/2 dose after 2 weeks to see if it will hold you the extra days until the end of the month. Some people on higher doses experience the same thing, a waning of effect. They should aso call their MD if they need it. Pat --------------------------------- Blab-away for as little as 1¢/min.
