For Kathy and and others interested,

I do remember in 1967 idiopathic scoliosis was found in only 1 boy out

of 4 children. When I had surgery, there was a young man having

surgery. He was a few years older and had come from Kansas City.

I have a younger sister, now 52, who had surgery 5 years after mine. My

folks and the doctor were watching her back closely and she did wear the

Milwaukee brace for a couple of years.

I have 2 daughters, now grown, without scoliosis. My sister has 4 young

girls and a boy. I don't envy her worrying about scoliosis!
