Guest guest
Just a note to say thanks to all of you who have been willing to share all of your experiences with this drug. I've been tempted to compile a report on the drug based on what you all have said, just for my own benefit and to help me in my discussions with my doctor. I am still waiting for his word on whether or not he will give me the shot in his office or whether I will take it at a clinic that is already giving the shots to asthmatics. Either way, I am sure the drug will help me, although I admit the severity of my asthma pales in comparison to the reports from some of you. After three bad attacks in a row and trips to the emergency clinic and to the emergency room) I do understand what many of you are going through during the bad allergy seasons. I think I've mentioned before that it took five years of being on prednisone almost the entire time before the doctor worked out a medicine regimen for me that allowed me to come off of prednisone except in bad attacks. The last four or five years, my time on prednisone has been limited to usually two times a year--one year it was three times, one year it was only once. So--if xolair will help me not have to take any asthma medicine (or use inhalers of any kind) or ever used prednisone again, then it will be worth whatever it will cost me. Thanks again for sharing--I really appreciate all of the messages. I'll keep you posted on what happens both financially and physically for me with the xolair.
