Guest guest
Hi Maggie - Good question...I wish I had an answer. Ya know...I can understand how the docs 20-30 years ago just didn't know any better. When I had my broken Harrington removed in 1981, I knew that the technology would have to improve before I would agree to have another surgery. So I waited 27 years for technology to catch up. I seriously have scrambled my brains over the past 3 years wondering " how in the hell did this happen " ?! All this modern hardware & modern techniques that are supposed to eliminate the complication of flatback & it is still happening. My doc was in complete denial !!! He blamed it on my spine...not his poor surgical technique. Like I've said before...I feel like I could be the poster child for what can happen when you pick an unqualified ortho surgeon. I really feel for . He is the first one I've heard from that has a similar story to mine. .............................Kathy
