Guest guest
I am new to the group and am learning alot! I am 42 yrs. old and had Harrington rod insertion from T4-L1 when I was 12 yrs.old. I keep reading about everyone's revision surgery and would like to know what kind of problems you were having that caused you to have the revision. I currently have a bulging disc at L3-L4 along with loss of disc space above and below the fusion site.I have tremendous lower back pain (almost SI jt. area) along with pretty severe lt hip pain. These are aggravated by sitting.I also have pain between my shoulder blades. I have seen a scoliosis specialist in Atlanta who recommended removing my rodto prevent further fusion in these areas. I am not sure if I'm ready for this step and am curious to know if that is part of the revision surgery everyone is referring to. Any input would be helpful.
