Guest guest
Thank-you for sharing your heart. I also can say I'm thank-ful for 24 good years with my Harrington Rod surgery....Yet, looking with great anticipation to be where you are and many others, on other side of a revision surgery. Life is good....and I'm so happy for you. Alvera White OKIE from Guymon From: Kirkaldie Sent: Wednesday, May 26, 2010 6:12 AM Subject: [ ] Life is good and time marches on Dear Friends, Last night my youngest graduated highschool. An era ended, after 3 kids and 21 years of moving them through public school process, I'm now at a point where that day to day work is done. I'm excited for them and for myself. My oldest has a job and a child, my son completed his first year of Community College, and now the youngest is off to University in town. As I was standing, and standing, following the event last night, I was ever aware at how much a blessing my revision is and was, that last night I stood there, was able to stand there, and be fully in that moment, so amazing considering how I was 10 years ago before my revisions, back then none of that night would have been the same, I would have probably been in a wheelchair having someone wheel me in. So while life isn't always easy, my revisions have removed my physical day to day challenges with walking and standing, and when I go to events like this, I'm just one in a crowd, not someone who needs considerations, and I'm still so pleased about that, it truly has been one of my greatest blessings, thank you Dr. Kumar! I think sometimes it's good to reflect, and say thank you. I'm lucky I have great kids and that I'm more "able" now following revision, than I was when they were young. My granddaughter has a much more active me than my kids had when they were young. Pain is gone, function is better, and I'm ever thankful. I'm also thankful to all of you for being there while I've moved through life, my scoli buddies, and wanted to include you in this joy, as all of you GET what it's like to live in these bodies, and handle the everyday joys and challenges. My neighbors daughter graduated too last night, and she's been sad for weeks, I'm excited for my daughter, for me and the new life before each of us. A page has turned! Guest guest
Congratulations! Thanks for all your help and inspiration along the way. To quote a children's song, " a thankful heart is a happy heart. " Best wishes for continued happiness, and especially for enjoying your granddaughter and looking forward to more! > > Dear Friends, > > Last night my youngest graduated highschool.
