Guest guest
Great to hear from you Sam and even more great that the hard part is behind you. That part feels good doesn't it? Congratulations! Rest and recuperate. Take those pain meds if you need them. We'll look forward to reading all about your surgery and seeing the pictures. Alice Just got home this morning after my surgery yesterday. I'm doing okay but tired from a restless evening. I have a little pain from the incision so I'm taking medication for it. Guest guest
My family & I got home last night from a wonderful vacation. We went on an Alaskan cruise -- our first trip to Alaska & our first cruise. Spent three days on land before meeting the ship. Saw some amazing sights -- pics will be online soon! Welcome Back Dacia!!! I'm glad you enjoyed yourself!!! I bet now you need a vacation to rest from your vacation:)The food we had available was amazing. There was a 24-hour buffet. I ate a lot of fruit & veggies -- but I also indulged in some of the other goodies as well. By the time we were done with the cruise, I could honestly say that I was tired of eating. I think the food is always the best part of trips. Too bad we are always having to be on our guard:) I am happy to report, that according to my scale, I gained only 1/2 a pound while on the cruise. I thought it would be more --- but we did do a lot of walking -- on the ship & on our shore excursions. Oh I'm so happy for you! I don't know how you pulled off going on a cruise and only gained 1/2 pound!!!! Maybe it was all your exercise. Who Cares! You succeeded! Now, both my hubby & I are ready to get serious about losing this weight. Time to get our routine established again. Glad you are back! Guest guest
Welcome Back Dacia, so glad you enjoyed your trip. I am envious, Alaska, about the only place I really want to visit. Guest guest
Hi Dacia, Glad you got back safe and sound. Sounds like you had fun. That is great! I have never been on a cruise before, but would love to go on one some day. I have seen pictures from my parent's Alaskan cruise. They are very pretty. Congrats on only gaining 1/2 pound. That isn't bad at all. Well, I'm glad you are back, and I am glad you had fun. Welcome home! from MO.
Guest guest
Kathy, I'm glad all went well for you!! The pain will subside but don't you have any pain meds to help with it?? They certainly don't take the pain away but they do help some. How many days are you having your stim in? I had mine in for 3 days. I hope you are able to get some sleep soon. Good luck and I'll be praying for you. Ruth > > Just a note to let you know we are home from getting the spinal cord > stimulator trial and all went well from a no complications standpoint. Guest guest
Hello Everyone, I am writing from home today. I can only sit for 10 minutes or so, But I wanted to get a short note off to everyone who has been so supportive so far. Thank you for prayers and words of encouragement. So much of this reminds me of being a 14 year old again, and yet so much has changed. I'm pretty happy most of the time (while the drugs are in high gear). Just the emotional and physical change from 4 days ago is amazing. They want me to eat 3000 - 4000 calories a day!!! I didn't eat that much even when I was 40 pounds overweight. I need to up my protein, but don't have a lot of appetite. Suggestions? Sleeping without the brace is getting easier, at first I was afraid I would break something. I was afraid to roll over. But last night, I got my first full night of sleep. What a blessing. I sometimes feel grinding and pops, I think they are OK. Today my two year old lay down next to me as I read 3 books to him....I can't tell you how much I needed that contact. My friends and neighbors have rallied around, we have a wonderful hot meal every evening. Thanks again everyone. -Dyann
Guest guest
HI Dyann, We are glad your home safe and sound. There is no better place to recoop. Have you tried Boost? That is what my doc office suggested because I was not eating much. > > Hello Everyone, > I am writing from home today.
