Guest guest
How about placing the soap in some netting and giving those out. You can find yards of pretty netting probably much cheaper than a towel. Plus I think the bridal netting looks so pretty when it is tied up!! Guest guest
Hi, Since you do m & p, how about clear soap with wedding rings embedded in them, then wrap in tulle (as Cates3gem suggested) and tie with thin ribbons in the wedding colors? One could use a tiny dove or any of those little wedding do-hickeys that are sold at party or cake decorating stores. Good luck. Grins, Kaye wedding I have been asked to make some items for a wedding, at this point she does not have any ideas what she wants. I know she wants gifts for everyone attending. I have been surfing for molds in conjunction with the wedding them with no luck, I do M & P, also various toiletry items. I thought maybe soap wrapped in a washcloth and tied in a bow? Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Terry
Guest guest
Hi Terry, I recently made wedding favors for a friend. I bought some small chocolate molds in the shape of flowers. I did the centres of the flowers one color and the petals another. I also made mini bars in a rectangular shape and then I wrapped one or two of the flower soaps and a mini bar in a soft net fabric, tied with rafia and inserted a small piece of lavender into the rafia. I also tied rafia around some of the little mini bars like you would wrap a small gift and put a piece of lavender or cedar into the rafia bow. I found an attractive basket and then put a bit of filling in it and then arranged the soaps in the basket. The little mini flowers were very time consuming to make but they looked really pretty. You could make the soaps in whatever the bride's colors are or chose ribbons that match. Guest guest
Hi...From Nature With Love carries a wedding bell soap mold. It is very nice, and deep so you can make small or large sized soaps. Guest guest
Hi, I have just done my best friends wedding (we meet when we were three and are still friends at 30!). We purchased 50ml heart shaped bottles and filled them with dispersable bath oil (scented with romantic EO blends) and little pieces of gold leaf (to float gently on the bottom) then we sealed with gold botteling wax and labeled. They look fantastic! Good luck wiht whatever you decide to do! Guest guest
> Anyone have tips for turning down " home made " food from family members with out hurting feelings. I will be among people I love serving foods I love. Take a bite of everything, all it a feast or treat day, and enjoy! I'm sure you'll be walking around enough to burn off those bites of food from the wedding. As for the sweet 16 party, is this for the girls or a family thing? If just the kids, get out of the kitchen and stay away from the cake and goodies. LOL If it's a family affair, just take a small piece of cake and avoid the ice cream and other goodies. Make sure you're drinking enough water both days so you don't reach for a soda when thirsty. Or an alcoholic drink - remember that alcohol is counted as pure fat as far as calories go! Go, have a good time, enjoy the food. Just don't overdo it. Sue in NJ
Guest guest
I am very afraid that I wont stop at a bite.....sigh. I can just see me putting on 10 to 20 pounds from Friday night to Sunday morning. It is amazing how much I can nibble away in a few hours. Once I even ate a sandwich and forgot I ate it. I went so far as to accuse my husband as to hiding it on me. He told me to check out my face in the mirror. I had sandwich bits between my teeth. Yet I had no memory of eating the sandwich. The sweet 16 is a family affair. She will have some other party time with her friends on Saturday. The thing that worries me is that she choose a Japanese restaurant to have the family dinner at. We have eaten there before. Every thing on the menu is disaster to my diet. Too much salt / too much fat or a food allergy. I am also worried about others finding out that I am on a diet. Some family members are " less then supportive " . One reason I always take the photos at family affairs is that until recently I hated to be photographed because I was so overweight. I have recently began to accept my self as I am at the moment. But its still a struggle at times. Guest guest
Okay so here goes guys. My daughter's wedding was fabulous, save one tiny margin of error. THE HAIDRESSER FORGOT TO SHOW UP!!! Yup you read that right. Our hairdresser was suppose to be at the house a 7:30 AM. At 7:30 when she didn't show we were nervous, by 10 to eight my daughter was hysterical. The wedding was at 10:30 and she was suppose to do the both of us. The other girls in the wedding party each took care of doing or getting their own hair done. Two hours to go and know hairdresser. I started to call salons in our area figuring we were doomed. Nobody is usually open until at least 9:00 AM. Finally after about 10 minutes of calling and getting no answers we called one and a girl answered. I explained the situation she heard Mandi crying , told me they were doing a wedding party right then but to come over and they would figure something out. Long story short, we got our hair done and out of there with about 45 minutes till church time. I ran in House and did what I had to do, and Mandi's bridesmaids swarmed all over her. Got to church a wee bit late (10 minutes) and got the show on the road. After that everything was just beautiful!!! I am exhausted today and a lot glad and a little sad it is over. Micah danced the ENTIRE reception time. I kid you not. We had to literally force him to stop and take a drink. He refused to eat, and every time they would do something on the dance floor with the bride and groom and guests hooting them on, he thought it was for him. He was the Hoot. Coming home for 5 minutes in the car he was in a stupor like state and we all laughed as we watched his head plunk down on his chest. Brought him in, changed him like a wet noodle, put him to bed and didn't hear from him til 8:30 this morning. Micah's first big formal affair and we find out he is a party animal!! Anyway the wedding is over and now I have Vacation Bible school to start tomorrow morning so I better get some rest tonight or I am going to need shots of adrenaline to keep up with a bunch of pre-schoolers. Guest guest
I am so glad that everything worked out so well. The hairdresser story will be great for their kids and grandkids!! Every wedding has something happen like that. With ours the AC went out at the reception hall in AZ in the middle of summer, and THEN at the beach on our honeymoon our car got broken into and the thief took EVERYTHING...money, bc pills, clothes, camera, everything. 18 years later, it still makes for a great story and will get even better with time. Also so glad that Micah had a great time! I am sure everyone else did too watching him. Kym...mom to 5 including (8DS)

Guest guest
One of Matt's groomsmen missed his flight and thus the wedding. His dad stepped up to the plate..lol! It all turned out ok. When was getting dressed, I noticed she had bright red underwear on - I asked her if she realized what she was wearing and she then told me to read what it said. Guest guest
Hi folks; Jo-Anne and I were married on Tuesday, June 3 outside in a small park, had a reception dinner with a few friends and 24 family at a local restaurant, and then camped with some of the family for four days in our getaway van. It rained so we cut it a bit short and I'm back to work today Wednesday; I'm on cloud nine that I married my soulmate ...Yippee!
