Hi ya,ll, It has been one very stressful day. As ya,ll know I'm out on STD now.

I'm allowed to earn a small percentage of my PTO hours to supplement the

disability. I planned it all out carefully. I filled out time sheets with dates

and how many hours I weanted to use each 2 week pay period. If I used 30 hours

per pay period,it wouldn't violate the disability and I had just enough hours in

the bank to get me through the 3 month mark, which is when my Surgeon agreed I

could start working a few hours. The payroll person thought I made a

mistake, changed the dates and turned in 60 hours per pay period instead of 30. I

caught it with the first check and called them and emailed the stubb to them. I

asked the local hour guy if they could be paying me out of the two weeks they

held out in the begininh of my employment with the company,he didn't know but

would get back to me. I said call me if anything is wrong,I never heard back.I

assumed it was ok. My last check was for July 1. I do direct deposit. I moved

over July 4th holiday.Just looked at my pay stubb yesterday.Didn't look right.

Called local office in Dallas,hr guy said he never heard back from home office

in Austin.I asked for the # in Austin and called them.Readers Digest version, all

my PTO is gone. My Doc won't release me to do part time until after ct scan on

Aug 3. My STD is a little less than 50% my usual salary. The bills aren,t going

to stop. I'm alone. Talked to disabilty people today,if I'm converted to

LTD,which my Doc is recommending and try to work part time, anything I earn will

be deducted from the amount of coverage I elected!!! The LTD pays 600 dollars

more than the STD. The whole point of even attempting to work any would be to

supplement the disability so I don't go in the poor house! So what's the point?

The STD lady said if I did work part time I could retain my health coverage and

other benefits. How does she know this? If so great, but she isn't with my

company she is from the insurance company. I have a call into the home office.
