Guest guest
Glad he said the fusion is looking good! Hopefully the bone growth he's talking about will be where he wants it by your next appt. Sorry I don't know about fusions but sounds like a good visit Connie > This morning was my check-up for the L4/5 fusion I had on May 12th. > After arriving 30 minutes early, I was told to go to xray first. That took an hour! > Then I finally get to see the doc and for once he treated me halfway decent...not overly friendly, but at least not smirking at everything I said. > He said the fusion was looking good and the right thigh numbness is probably from a nerve in my groin that was compressed during surgery and should heal on its on. Didn't ask him how long that would take. > The only concern he had is that there wasn't as much new bone growth as he would like to see. He asked if I was still on pain meds and what pain meds I was taking, but didn't ask where I was getting them from. > So...another appt at the end of August with new xrays. > So I guess the appt went well?? > > > >
Guest guest
My surgeon's name is Dr. Pellicci at the Hospital for Special Surgery in NYC ( supposedly it is 2nd in the nation for this type of surgery behind the Mayo clinic ). A friend of mine referred me to him and I feel forever indebted. - :-) > Who did your op? > > > >From: " kasia6720042 " <kasia6720042@y...> > >Reply-Joint Replacement > >Joint Replacement > >Subject: post-op check up > >Date: Tue, 11 May 2004 12:25:49 -0000 > > > >Hey everyone, I just went for my 6 week post op check up yesterday. > >My dr released me from all restrictions and told me I could do any > >kind of activity I wanted ( short of running or other high impact > >sports ).
