Oh I hope this repair is a breeze for you. You have had enough surgery! I know I

had a small dural tear...and to be honest, I think many more than not have this

complication. Not that is makes it any more fun...but I guess mucking around in

there with hammers, chisels and drills tends to bring on this problem.

Here is to hoping you are up and walking headache free in the next day or so!

Good luck.

Take Care, Cam

My thoughts are with you. I hope you're out of your discomfort as soon as possible. PaSent from my iPhoneOn Feb 2, 2010, at 7:41 PM, " S." <jessicasny1234@...> wrote:

Hi group,

Thank you all for your thoughts.

My A/P surgeries on 1/26 and 1/28 were very successful. There was one complication of a dural tear, which was sealed during the surgery.

I was up on Friday and walking a bit on Sat. However, I started getting really awful headaches. This meant that the dural tear was leaking. I was put on 48hr completely flat bed rest. (Laying flat makes the headaches go away and also let's the spinal fluid help

seal the tear on it's own.) Still when I sat up after 2 days , the headache was there in full force. After discussing my options, Dr. Hu will go back in and seal the tear for good.

I'm laying on my back as I write this, waiting to go into the OR sometime today.

I'm doing well, surgical pain is not bad, my meds are minimal. I just want to get over this so that then I can continue my recovery, walk and truly appreciate my new posture, and go home soon!

Thank you for your support,

p.s. Racine comes to visits me often. It has been wonderful to meet her!
