Guest guest Posted June 28, 2006 Report Share Posted June 28, 2006 Ok I need to give my 5$ worth. It would appear that the evidence that immunotherapy helps asthma is sketchy. It may help other manifestations of allergy but there are many many things that trigger asthma via many immunological pathways so desensitization may not help. As Adah indicated, it may cause trouble. I was offered the option about allergy shots by my pulmo. I declined. My ins will cover Xolair without failed shots. Perhaps it's like singulair. Helps some but does nada for others. Ok, I will get down from my soap box. One day, ask me what I think about flu shots.... (who is also opinionated!!!!)
